I would like to do a money match with sp00ky if he comes, or anyone else coming from out of state for that matter.  :D

Also yes, we do not have a huge player base between Wisconsin and IL (as you can see from the tournament results section) but over the past couple of weeks people have expressed more interest in coming so I hope to see a decent number of players who I have met since I started playing 3 months ago show up.  If you are considering going to any Melty Blood tournament in the midwest any time soon, this is going to be the one as it will either make or break Melty as a legit tournament game in this area.

53
that should have been a pm in the first place  :psyduck:

First post updated with melty blood entry info and a few other things

Melty Blood AA teams added!!!

Get hype for Chicago's first major Melty Blood event.  Post up so we can get a good idea of who is coming from out of state.  This is going to be a tournament you won't want to miss.

56
someone tell nappy to stop being dumb and at least do well in one game, oh and orka too, someone tell him to throw

Don't feel bad, no one else showed up either other than for Tekken.  Well I'm still going to be running another tournament in December or possibly January.  Just remember the point of this is so we have a spot to play and so we can practice and beat HeartNana when he comes back in January.  >:D

Bump

Don't forget about the tournament this saturday

Also the people who couldn't make it last time due to money problems, hope to see you there as well.  It's gonna be the same setup as last time so 2 stations going all day for casuals up to around 7 o'clock so it's worth your while to make the trip out since you'll get to play all day pretty much.

Thanks everyone who came out for Melty Blood at the crack of noon.

1) Syxx (F-Nero)
2) Necrosis (Len, Roast Beef)
3) Orka (F-Aoko)
4) Yanu (Maids)
5) EmptyShiki (Arcueid)
5) Soul Saver (Not sure what character he used lmao)

So like half the people didn't show up or were late.  I know it's getting hard giving me your money but try to make it to the tournament on time next time, thanks.  Also I'm running another tournament next Saturday in Racine WI so hopefully I'll see some of you guys there.  Also don't forget about the major at Frosty Faustings 2 on January 2nd, which will probably be the next Melty Blood tournament in Chicago.

Everyone who made it out on time... it is really appreciated.  You entered and played because you know Melty Blood AA is a good game.  Our scene is small so we need the support of every last person to keep the game going in the midwest.  So for the people who did play... see if you can get some more people that you know into the game and teach them how to play.  In my opinion this is one of the easiest FGs to pick up and play and learning the system doesn't really take that long.  If the EC can get 20 something people at local tournaments there is no reason why we can't either.

This is a BOYC controller event, however controllers will be provided.  You are better off bringing your own stick or controller however.

You must be available to play immediately for your match, especially in Tekken 6 since they are allowing us to have the machine on free play for the duration of the tournament.  It is imperative that there is absolutely NO DOWN TIME ON THE MACHINE so check with me if you need to get food or whatever.  Don't start a MM or anything if you are still in Tekken.  I will let you know if you will be up soon.  All you need to do is ask.

There is limited space in the tournament area.  DO NOT BRING A TELEVISION UNLESS I ASK YOU TO BRING ONE.  IF YOU HAPPEN TO BRING ONE AND SET IT UP, AND I ASK YOU TO TAKE IT DOWN, DO NOT LET IT RUIN YOUR ENTIRE DAY AND GO HOME AND START FLAMING ME ON INTERNET FORUMS BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT I HAD MY CRAP TOGETHER AND KNEW WHAT CONSOLES AND TVS WE WOULD HAVE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT WEEKS BEFOREHAND.
