Keyboard Paaaad /want  :fap: :fap: :fap:

No nebi, get ye a stick already; also go out and play the guys in WA since you actually have a scene there.

Possible new characters? Am I the only one who thought of Bazett? Another martial arts user to accompany Miyako and she already has a last arc possibility with Fragarach. Although, I doubt that would happen since she was in Fate Unlimited Codes.

@Komi: Something like this would work too.

Capcom owns all videogame rights to F/SN IIRC; so that is never happening since ecole is in direct competition with capCOCK.

No...No it doesn't...they both fail - I'm so ashamed ;_;

Staying on topic: Any other interesting TM characters we forgetting besides the other Tsukihime/obvious KnK and not fate that may be included? How likely is a new character anyway?  I'm happy with some fixes.

All in all I feel that netplay makes people not feel the need to rush out and find some dudes to duel against; which kinda prevents any scene from starting up where the people who are netplay-only usually tell you they netplay because they have no scene.  Netplay doesn't kill scenes, it just kinda prevents them from starting up.

Well, this means we'll get tiers with console characters, so chin-up.

I'm pretty happy with the new tiers, the only characters I would play (Hazama, Jin Bang, in that order) are all pretty damn solid.

Also Hazama's theme is so good that it evens out the earbleed from the new announcer.

For all you new challengers

Protip: if you read through the Tsukihime and Fate Stay / Night visual novels by Type-moon, you will gain a lot of insight into the inside joke and referances that get tossed about in here. I'd clock us in at about 80% Type-moon fags.

Here's a quick primer of things to look for:

"Like a mollusk" - a very sexy description from Nasu himself

"[This Chair.] x n times" There is a scene in the Ciel arc where Shiki goes batshit insane and there is 3+ screen of just this repeated over and over while he smashes the chair to bits.

"Senpai isn't Senpai without her glasses!" - an option appears in tsukihime to do Ciel with, or without her glasses.

"Surpress Roa [in Ciel's ass]" a euphemism for sex, especially anal sex.

"A) supress roa in Ciel's ass
B) Rape the maids
C) Genuflect
D) Isn't it sad sacchin?" Presented as a choice block

"So as I (verb) UNLIMITED (noun)  WORKS!" - UBW parody

"Curry Butt" - petname for Ciel

"Sacchin" Pet name for Satsuki

"Isn't is sad, Sacchin?" Satsuki often is faced with misfortune and bad luck, nothing goes her way (also missed having a route twice in a row)

"SO MOE I'M GOING TO DIE!!!!" and "A cat is fine too..." - lines from the hilarious doujin "Why I assualt Ren"

"17 pieces" - Shiki cuts Arcueid into this many pieces, known for being badass and also a fairly random number to pick.

"People die when they are killed" -Astounding wisdom from Shirou

"Mongrel" Gilgamesh's catchphase and term for everyone except Saber and Himself.

and that should more than start you off, READ TSUKIHIME.

Touhouvania is pretty fun, but I hate how HUGE your hitbox is while flying (hueg box + slow flight + danmaku = haet).

Also Patchouli, I've never beaten her without randomly lucking out (Tips would be awesome, this makes me wanna cut myself).

I find IAD'ing easier on the P2 side in melty.

Back in MBAC (when I was a pad user) I used to super jump over my opponent and get on the P2 side before the round started so I'd fuck up less.  Also buffering moves into a backdash in guilty gear? Yeah, that was pretty side dependant.

I still find IAD'ing easier on P2 side on the stick, but it's not as big a deal.

I played Jin, my matchup were all 5.0-6.0; what is this hard matchup your speak of?

The real problem with CT wasn't  how good the top 3 were, it was how ass everything under the top 5 were.  If you weren't play Rachel, Nu, Arakune, Jin, or Carl the game was a neverending uphill battle of terrible matchups.  Because the other characters really didn't have anywhere near the same amount of options (except Carl who just killed you in one combo anyways).  Rachel could even break out of claploop for a mere wind .

Frog is super broken, that's how :psyduck:

I'm not sure, I don't play her; But I have had that shit get pulled on me at the arcade, so I know it can happen.

Are we talking about ST Akuma or what? She had an advantage in every matchup, maybe one or two even matches. Akuma couldn't do 50% of a character's life in one projectile combo. She needed to be nerfed. I haven't seen any videos of her after loketests finished so I can't really comment on whether or not the nerfs she did get were deserved.

help I have to be afraid of hakumen now

You are all operating off faulty/outdated information.

This matchup chart is the source of the OMG NU WINS EVERYTHING! bullshit: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5920

You will notice that Inoue has said everything is an advantage for nu and given her a +11.5 to matchups; if you bother to look at what every other player says about nu, you will notice that: A) Inoue is full of shit and has no idea how to properly rate a matchup B) Rachel is actually the best character in the game.

Here is the more recent (and less fucked up) chart: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7339

Note: Rachel rating 90
          Nu Rating      80

And if you look at the tools Rachel has (free gaurd breaks, the best okizeme in the game, 5000+ DMG for no meter, silly good area denial, pumpkin); it makes sense.

Hazama has had a working moveset for the last two loketests, it was just the first where he played like a vanpri char without a loli.

Hmmm has anyone suggested that Hazama needs a loli?
If not why not? :prinny:

Hey guys, this is my favourite fandub: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KYKd4NQQHo

It's of th Akagi opening, the singer has the greatest voice I have ever heard.

If you can listen to the whole thing with heaphones on with high volume you'll understand the greatness of this dubbing.  It will make you a REAL man.

Sion's voice was pretty flat and didn't seem to fit that well.

Aoko needs a higher quality microphone for me to judge it accurately; but I will say that it wasn't "SUGOI SUGOI!~" enough for my tastes.

Wallachia's voice was actually pretty good however.

Sup everyone.

I've been a MB fan since the first game. I've been lucky to have been able to play MBAA and I must say, its a little weird, especially since I'm so used to MBAC, but I do enjoy it (Archetype Earth is hax!).

Favorite MB characters include Neko Chaos, and Kohaku/Hisui and Reizbyfe. Skill wise, I'm not very good, but I still enjoy playing.

Currently, I'm in the middle of fandubbing the MBAC arcs.

Main C-NAC; become my new favourite person.

Welcome to the boards.

2 HIT COMBO!

I cannot find a single C-Roa mirror in all of YouTube and Nico2. Is this just me not being good at searching or has there never been one filmed, ever?

Okay, I've been placed in charge of the general organization of the tourney (-SinfuL- will just be booking a venue and providing setups / collecting your hard earned moneys).

Here's what's for sure (non-negotiable):
10$ entry fee
MBAA
TV's and setups will be provided
There will be some PS2 pads from the club, but you are better off bringing your own controller

Here's what I'm hoping to do (awaiting confirmation):
Run a Blazblue Tourney the day before (I'm hoping this will draw people up)
MBAA on day two.
Side tourney madness (OH SHI- VanPri, HnK, JEW PUNCHA, EFZ, F/UC, ETC. -tell me what you want to see, I'll see what I can get together-)

Here's what I want to know:
What two day span would you like to see the tourney at?
What format would you like to see? (teams, singles, doubles. Single elim, double elim)
HOW HYPE ARE YOU?!

As soon as I get a date and format picked out I'll post the Official Announcement of the Tourney, GET HYPE!

IaMP is the better fighter.

SWR is the better Touhou game.

It's really a trade off between Game depth and touhou-ness.

Actually I know a good MBAC player named K0nn who used to live up in anchorage; I played him 'cause we get 3 delay. Anyways he's gone to the Philippines for college so he's probably not availiable for Melty now.
