I'm sorry to sound critical, you guys are my bros, but really we can't have this "Well have fun whoever is going"-attitude.
Sorry It would cost me roughly $500 to get down to Atlanta to go to Final Round, and that I need that money to go to school in the summer. Sorry for putting my education in front of Melty Blood.

Ciel's Tech Support / Re: Stick problem - Suddenly flicks upwards
« on: February 09, 2012, 11:32:18 PM »
The stick being mounted too high would not effect this problem. The stick is traveling the same distance regardless.
This is a problem with the stick having too much spring and not returning to neutral after an input is made, a proper solution would be to switch out the spring inside the stick for a softer/harder spring, so that you won't have as much force returning to neutral. Another option would be to shorten the existing spring, although I would highly advise against that, for fairly obvious reasons (You've got no stock part to return to)
Sadly with these sorts of sticks they're not always engineered the best, so it's somewhat of a crapshoot.
While joytron is a korean company, there is no way in fuck that this thing is holding a korean stick.

Even beyond straight up poverty, I would first look into how much it would cost to license all of the characters for release stateside.

The biggest problem after that would be investors. To use your words, as an "investment opportunity", if someone pitched throwing money into obtaining rights to/publishing a niche fighting game (Let's be honest, the game would not reach SFIV/MCV3 Sales figures, as much as we'd all enjoy that) it's just plain not sound investing, unless you have some investment in the community, and play the game.

Don't get me wrong, it'd be awesome to see it take off, but I think there needs to be a lot more research into the legal side of things, and more importantly just how large a financial undertaking this would be before this is anything more than a pipe dream.
