I'm still playing it.

alone... lol

I might take it to one of those AH3 casuals or ranbats at UCI.

go to AM7! we didn't get to play last time. for the record, i'll still play melty whenever. granted, my schedule is restricted but, if it's ever around and i'm around, i'll play it over lots of other things.

and why is roku posting in socal? is he coming... to play melty?! :V

Hopefully that MBAACC board was sold to AI.

i still go to AI (for XIII though), but MBAACC would be a bonus. not sure if scott was the one who picked up the board though. for now...  :mystery:

i think, for the most part, socal melty has gone over to arcana. i'm pretty sure if there are sessions though, people will still be willing to play melty if there's a setup and someone who wants to play.

also, going to AI for MBAA isn't really worth it, IMO. it's not like the cab draws a lot of competition and it's pretty much inferior to the console version anyway. getting something going at a session would most likely be more worthwhile if you want to play melty.

have fun guys. gonna have to attend this one online, if you guys stream. otherwise, see you all next month!

Then check out Katanagatari. Twelve episodes. Amazing.

i second this. nishiOihsin works are generally underappreciated because they aren't moe or typically action packed.

and Panty & Stocking i guess if you're big into popculture references, don't mind crude humor, and bubblegum animation.

gg's everybody. had fun after not playing the game for like 3 months. sorry i didn't get to play all of you. was pretty tired that day so i stopped playing after those matches with bell (good matches btw). for those of you who don't remember, i am CrutchMan who plays C-miyako.

thanks to reyes for hosting and pyro for the carpool. good luck at NEC bell. you better not get trolled by LBS or doren.

c-miyako dodge (cartwheel) works on satsuki AD, but not AAD. i'm thinking unless you have invincible frames, it'll catch you every time. 236C/214C/22C (upper-body invincibility on 22C) all worked.

K I'll bring my stuff.  If Fatacon can make it we'll have another game setup.  No sticks though.  As for the location, whichever is more comfortable with the amount of people we have.

looks like i'll be able to make it, setup included. like pyro said though, i have no sticks to bring either.

no planning, sorry guys i would've gone

sorry bell, was my idea at last minute. i brought up the idea since pyro wanted to try out the game because his import hadn't arrived yet. all in all, even just being the 3 of us, i think it turned out well. it seems like they both have a decent background with fighters so they caught on fairly quickly. i'm a really bad teacher, but i think they got the gist of it. like i told pyro though, i'm not available very often and wont be again until mid-december.

socal should have some kinda big session sometime. they seem pretty excited about learning, and it doesn't seem like melty guys get together all too often down here. honestly, it felt good to play the game again after a 3 month hiatus. it's pretty refreshing since my roommate only plays SSF4. wish i had a stick though. i should build a new one. 5 hours of play killed my left thumb. i don't know how YAT does it. GDLK thumbs yo.

How far?  Bell is about 30-40 minutes away from me.  It sucks how everyone is spread out so much.

30-40 minutes isn't a far drive really. i'm actually in riverside and i'd make more of an effort to play melty if my schedule wasn't so restricted. that and i haven't played since august or whatever. besides, if you're trying to learn anything technical about the game, bell would be the guy to talk to in this region anyway.

69
i'd be interested in this. however, i am only available if it happens on the 16th.
Haven't we learned our lesson about adjusting dates for events for NorCal already?

i'm actually in socal till mid-next year, albeit with a not-so-flexible schedule. didn't really ask for a resched, just when i'd be available to make it if i were able.

where is my first of the blue sky dating sim????  :psyduck:
strike witches actually has a few games out. the most recent one was a japan-only danmaku for 360. there's a new one coming out in oct for DS that i think is a sidescrolling shooter, but don't quote me on that.
purple bullets do not a danmaku make. The patterns are not really dense or complex enough to merit the term, and the style of play is way off from traditional manic shooters... I think the developers would've been better off if they went with a more traditional approach (if they did I would've snatched that shit up real quick) but c'est la vie...

oh yeah if you couldn't tell I'm a raging nerd, so sue me  :mystery:

i thought it originally was a top-down danmaku. my mistakeee  :slowpoke:

LOL i know right? on one of my good, well-and-able-to-be-out days, i did head over to AI to play KOF XIII. how's norcal? still having those weeklys? i miss 'em. so what have i been doing instead? helping my roommates with their college papers and cooking them meals. yeah, not being able to go out in daylight sucks.

Just thought of another good candidate.
3rd person shooter anyone? Or maybe survival horror/eroge (idk how it would work either, but it would)

how does survival eroge work?  :psyduck:

Hm...Strike Witches sounds interesting...maybe as a dogfight game over a fighter.

Maybe Virtual-on-ish.

http://www.siliconera.com/2010/05/15/heres-what-strike-witches-on-the-360-looks-like/

Found it. They needed the 360 to do this?
Heh, think Id pass. Looks like an arcade shooter. If it was for pc id snatch it.

ahh looks like i had it backwards. the 360 game is a sidescroll shooter and the DS game looks like strategy.
