If this is late September or later I may megabus/carpool up for this. If I do, would anyone be willing to house? SoCal doesn't have tournaments anymore and I live too far from other melty players to casual so I take what I can get.

One correction I'd like to point out re: Jiyuna's post about the 2nd day of the tournament:
The setup you "stole" was actually mine, and didn't even have jewpuncher on it at all. I put it there so you could finish melty, you didn't take it  :psyduck:

My apologies for not following up on my money matches. Unfortunately, the night before Evo, my C button decided to stop working a portion of the time, and my QA button came loose. I didn't notice this until I was already on the way to Vegas. I didn't feel comfortable enough playing Melty with other people's sticks to be willing to put money on the line. I did finally manage to fix the stick (borrowed a soldering iron on Sat night) but the button layout had to change a bit for me so I was still unfamiliar with it.  :emo:

I'd likely go to this if I can carpool with someone driving from the Ventura / LA county areas, (I'd drive to your place and go the rest of the way with you and pitch in for gas) or anyone driving down from norcal  :toot:. I'd definitely need to crash at your place, Bell, as the drive is really far for me.

Also, would bringing Guilty be a good idea, or are we primarily sticking with Melty?

I have a story about that. At WTXII I showed up way early and asked tom to copy over the raws for the previous west toasts over to my laptop from his. He said later then when i reminded him he just laughed in a way too evil to describe properly with words. So yeah, if he wouldn't even put in enough effort to give me the files to work with in person, there is no way in hell he's gonna edit them.

Since the thread ended abruptly before any answered my question, I'll repeat it:

So... Who all from the Santa Barbara/Ventura/Simi Valley/LA area is going to Evo? Are any of you driving with space in your car? I really want to go but there is no way I would be allowed to drive all the way there in my car. I may be able to work out something if i can meet you at your starting point and ride with you the rest of the way. I should be able to help some on the gas costs.

LoliSauce, I would be very interested your housing for Evo. I'm currently working on finding a ride. I can compensate you for the housing too (although the actual amount I can compensate will not be known until after my next couple paychecks).


edit: Just remembered i should mention which games I'd be entering in-

Melty Blood (singles)
Guilty Gear (singles? maybe teams?)
decent chance of Arcana Heart (the first one) if I manage to get it and practice it
Akatsuki Blitzkampf if anyone offers a tournament for it

Totally blanked on asking this on Friday, but did anyone/is anyone intending to go to the Magic the Gathering Pro Tour Hollywood? They have public events. I was there on Friday and I'm fairly certain I'm going again on Sunday. It's at the Hyatt in Hollywood off of Ave of the Stars.
