What's good Sac? I'm from Stockton and I'm like the only person in the 209 that's playing the game. If y'all are doing things, I can prolly make the journey up to Sac-town whenever I don't have work. I also play with the guys at RamNation and GameCenter so I can show y'all a few things if you want.

Is it just me or did F.Wlen get a damage boost? Also in which matchups should I consider picking Full Moon, instead of Crescent?

You should randomly show up to NCI again and demonstrate some swag Arc combos. Aside from that forced publicity message, I'd love to start netplaying fools but i'm usually working at times when people start getting off from works so that's a no go on my end at least. :emo:

30
I also wanted to add that last month, NCI reached its lowest number of entries for Melty Blood at 6 entries. To make matters worst, Earnest got first and I got third which means people who hit 2a enough will eventually come out victorious. Seriously, 2a hasn't been good since Act Cadenza guys.

Hopefully with this new version finally out, there will be new or returning players entering to show that mashing 2a isn't as strong anymore.

What's good NorCal? Where have y'all gone?  :mystery:

For those not in the know, the following has been copied from the dustloop forums...

===tl;dr===
  • Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code 1.07 entry fee = $5; signups end at 12 noon (although the MBAACC organizers will usually squeeze more entries in if we decide not to start until 3 p.m.)
  • GameCenter venue fee = $7 (per-registering will give you $3 in arcade credits and all day access to ps3 stations to play Gundam Vs. Extreme with everyone during after hours)
  • For directions, please consult GameCenter's official website: http://www.gamecenterarcade.com/
  • To pre-reg, follow this link: http://norcalinstall.wordpress.com/registration/
  • The rest is all the leftover mumbo jumbo from the official dustloop thread which includes rules on etiquette and stream schedule.

Hisui & Kohaku (Team) / Re: MBAACC Maids Match Videos
« on: January 03, 2012, 04:37:11 AM »
Me screwing around with C-Maids. Maid switch ups are too fun.
Also... Was switching in the corner always an assured cross-up?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlQodhYfoNc&feature=youtu.be#t=40m15s
I remember being able to do cross up in the corner like that back in MBAC.

It also worked well when Hisui was able to air backdash after air throws. If you did the air backdash, you tag in Kohaku on the opposite side. If you don't backdash, you tag in Kohaku in front of the opposition. Too bad this is now ancient technology.  :gonk:

7 hours drive hmmmmmm.

Depends on how much money I have come February, though if norcal folks want to carpool, this can happen for sure.
I should be available that weekend. If you wanna swing by and pick me up, I'll drop.

I was my older brother's moving test dummy for SF2 on the SNES.  :emo:

Then I started to play fighting games more seriously when I really wanted to beat him down specifically in Tekken 3 and CvS2. The latter got me into the fighting game scene and I still play it to this day.

If any of you guys are driving down from Sac, mind stoppin' by Stockton and picking me up? I can help introduce you guys to the MB scene.

I approve of this flyer. WLen with Bison cosplay  :fap:

Daryl, have you fixed your stick yet?  If not, I can work on it at the ranbat.
I messed with it a little bit but for some reason the bottom buttons work great but as soon as I mess with the top row, things get wonky. I'll see sup but I'll bring it by the ranbat.

39
Aw man, my first Melty Blood tourney was at SJSU so it's pretty cool to bring it back to the old school.

So, who's going to the Miku concert in SF next week?
NewtypeSEED and I were looking into going and checking it out, but then we found out it's going to be a screening of the Blu-Ray version of Miku's 39's Givings Day concert and not an actual hologram performance. Needless to say, we were disappointed. :emo:

Tournament Results / Re: NorCal INSTALL! v.2 Results
« on: September 05, 2010, 10:45:53 PM »
The ranbat idea sounds great so far, but yeah, SoCal prob won't be able to make it to small ranbats like you said. (CALI TOO BIG). And I'm not sure it'll work with MBAA though because the scene is so spread out + is small in Cali in general.
At worst, the number of entries for MBAA over the previous season was around 8 12 players (tsubasa can correct me on this). It's going to be pretty hard getting people now a lot of fools have relocated due to school and other obligations.

Shoutouts to Alex for the quick ass correction.

42
If i win any of those buttons, I'll prolly just hand those off to Tone. However, I like that Miku statue so I'll work hard for that coveted piece of sadlife. :prinny:

Handle: DJcream
Main Character: C-WLen
Notable Alt's: F-WLen, H-Hisui
Affiliation: None
Predominant Region: NorCal
Awards/Top Placement: Tied for 5th EVO2k10 MBAA team tourney (teamed with Chelsea :toot: )
Other Information: I went from CvS2 and SSF4 to completely focusing on Melty Blood. All my friends back home are kinda  :slowpoke:
I also frequently commentate on the NorCal Install MBAA streams

45
Another show idea is just covering our tournaments. Summer Jam is this weekend and NorCal Install is the end of the month. With that, it proves that there is a melty scene going and keeps people motivated to show up to one.

I remember that tourney, NorCal got trolled by matchup inexperience. :slowpoke:

47
Despite no having a lot of posts in this thread, the people posting on the NorCal thread are generally hyped for the event. Personally, I'll try hella hard to make it but it seems the person I usually roll with out there is having car problems. If worst comes to worst, I'll prolly train/bus out there but may need a place to stay at over night.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: The MB:AA:CC thread: Current Code
« on: July 30, 2010, 09:25:14 PM »
Useless observations:
Late in the video, C-Len airthrows H-Roa just as Roa jumps. There's a yellow swirl effect, an effect that does not appear in airthrows in combos.
It must be a random mechanic that points out excellent yomi.

However, there's no kara throwing in MB

not technically true.

you used to (not sure if it still applies) be able to "kara" from shield into throw!
If you mean Bara-canceling (where you cancel your shield bunker into a command like EX watever or throw), that's been taken out of MBAA.

But if you mean to cancel a successful shield into a throw, you can do it but most characters have better options.
