all b-c attacks (maybe some specials too, seen it happen with a few dps) from what i can see gain an 'auto armour' against A attacks on trade. Anytime a j.a/5a/2a would trade with b or c level moves, the a move will get punched through. This really hurts chars that can 5a spam trying to force a trade couner hit. The days of Nanaya/Sachin 5a Anti-air are over.  :toot:

vet also seems to think some old moves  clash frames could've been replaced with armour frames instead. (Think I saw this on nero 2b)

pretty decent crescent maids

Hisui chair assist launches now? It was dash and combo'd from half a screen away. Might've been something to do with the CH

is he doing aerial 214c overheads and land 2a'ing ? Unblockable setups would be pretty lame. It looks pretty confusing regardless. Good luck blocking

I'm too crappy to try but is it possible to use 5B instead of 2B?

yup, leading to a slightly more damaging tech punish combo. it will hit them rising after 1st bounce tho if they dont ground tech, which might allow them to airtech

Full Moon Maids:

http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=FmZ5qXX10Ks

More new assists!
Also works aerial in full moon

0:12 Random high jump attack. doesn't cost any hearts
0:15 Same move? Whiffs/Doesn't come out this time but costs 3 hearts. Probably cause Arc hit her first
0:29 I can't even tell what just happened.
Looks like hearts eventually recover to full tho after a long time knocked down
0:39 Ladle stab assist. massive frame advantage

2:39 Crosschop assist. Probably the move that was supposed to come out in round 1. 3 hearts
3:14 lol, looks like she falls over herself if you try to overspend your hearts.

Hisui-main kohaku assists are way way stronger than her lackluster mbac ones (At least in full moon) they all seem to have such fast recovery too. Especially the sword slash projectile.

4B charged will trip them if it connects
what does it do normally

Quote
as most of you know, magnum upper input is now 63214
63214 now has an automatic follow up
kohaku will bring her broom back for a baseball swing, press a button to let em have it
i'd wondered about this. I'd assumed it was auto followup but timed because sometimes it'd knockdown clean and others would miss with it or it'd be airteched. It must have a sweet spot of some kind.

But then i recently saw a vid of someone following it up with 236{b} into batou loop. So maybe its style specific what she can followup with?  :-[
[/quote]

wow, dizzies, circuit breaks, and now a crouch walk. they're giving her neco levels of sillyness.

5c 5b -> aircombo should do the most damage

the other combos may be good for 'wrong' shielded last arcs(like high shielding a 2a) since the damage prorates.

combo vidya!

(all damage values tested on Aoko)

BNBs

01.2aa bnb 4058dmg
2aa5c2c5bb 2a(whiff) jcjb sdjajbjc
Not much to explain here. Good damage. Easy hitconfirm.

02.5c punisher 4975dmg
5c2b(2hit)2c5bb 5a(whiff) sjbjc sdjajbjc AT
Great for punishing laggy moves. Big damage. Midcombo superjumps are HAWT.

03.j[c] bnb 4265dmg
j[c] 2c5bb jcjb sdjajbjc AT
Not a great move overall, but good to mixup with in the corner now and then. Use this if you manage to land it.

04.max range 2c 3135dmg
2c5c jb(1hit)jc sdjb(1hit)jcja AT
Good to use if they're out of range of 5bb.

05.max range 2c with EX 2764dmg
2c 236a 623c
Another alternative. Less damage but gives better oki to work with.

214c combos

06.214c out of corner. 2658dmg
214c 236a..
Useful for following up bunker cancels. You can even followup 236a with 623c for an extra 200(whoop) damage if you really

want to burn some meter. Won't give knockdown tho.

07.236b 214c midscreen. 3982dmg
236b 214c 5a(whiff) sjajb djbjc AT
close enough to the opposite corner, you can sometimes SJ and chase with j.a/j.b for a valid combo.

08.236b 214c midscreen. 4245dmg
236b 214c 5b jb(1hit)jc sdjbjcja AT
At certain distances and certain characthers its possible to followup a midscreen 214c with 5b and aircombo. Note the 236b 214c string shown here will only work on aoko.

09.236b 214c corner. 4391dmg
236b 214c jumpcancel late jC land jbjc sdjajbjc AT
Slightly more damaging than simply following up with 5b.

CH Combos

10.shield ja 2990dmg*
jdja ch land 2c5c5b jbjc sdjajbjc AT
Note: Damage values were being weird and inconsistant while testing this one.

11.jc CH 4590dmg
jc CH land 2b(1hit)5b jajbjc sdjaajbjc AT
You can use the same combo to followup j.a CHs.

12.236a CH 5310dmg
236a CH 5c 5b jbjc sdjaajbjc AT
Big damage if you're lucky enough to land it. 100% proration on 236a so follow up with 5c whenever possible.

13.CH2 combo 5626dmg
5c CH iad jc 5c2c5bb 2a(whiff) jcjb sdjajbjc AT
Useful for punishing certain whiffed/blocked EX's (ciel 236c). Where you don't have to time to setup a jump-in. Note: there are more damaging variations of this combo. The basic idea is just 5c CH into iad j.c and work from there.

14.623a trade CH 4265dmg
623a trade CH 2c5bb jcjb sdjajbjc AT
Shiki gets big damage off trading counterhits on his shoryus.

15.Last Arc + followup 5765dmg
LA 5c5b jbjc sdjajbjc AT
lols.

5bb strings

16.5b{b} overhead 2148a
5b{b} 214a(whiff) 5aa5b jbjc sdjajbjc
214a recovers fast enough to combo after a succesful 5b{b} launcher. Note: You have to omit a 5a for certain characthers and certain midscreen distances.

17.5bb 2148a double otg
214a dash 5aa2b5b5c2c2aa dash 5aa2b5c2c5a
Fake overhead with a partial charge then hit them with 214 low sweep.Theres two points where they can attempt to ground tech. Be sure to cover them if you expect it.

18.5bb 2148a launch
5bb jc djbjc
Should they attempt to jumpout of your 5bb, 2148a will give you a jump cancel instead of slide kick. Giving you plenty of time to hit confirm into a quick air string.

Thanks.

Hisui / Re: Hisui wake-up?
« on: July 18, 2008, 09:47:21 PM »
ex dust works as a ghetto reversal simply because of its speed. It won't beat meaties so don't go trying it on wakeup too often, but at 3f it'll stuff plenty of reckless dash-ins or iads. Even if they manage to airblock, it'll keep them in blockstun long enough to net a guard break combo. Even when you trade with this move it will in your favour 99% of the time

Ciel / Re: Actress Again Ciel Discussion/Speculation Thread
« on: July 06, 2008, 08:51:42 PM »
its worth noting that alot of the movesets vary from style to style. Most of the information from the gamechariot post was taken from a crescent style Ciel. She still has her heiro moveset, altho its mentioned the EX (air?) version is unconfirmed. It also sounds like she cant jump cancel the first hit of her 5c anymore.

Also, j.214a keeps aerial inertia now (think akiha air ribbons). Could be interesting

Zomg! Kohaku Loop!

Tried replicating the loop. Having difficulty connecting the double battou at the beginning of the string (If it's even possible), from the 632146C 5A 236 BB. It's either the margin is extremely small and situational on the B, or this has been patched over. Feels situational, since battou placement depends on a certain wall distance away. Doesn't hit as well on short characters either.

Any ideas?

~Chun

that particular combo only works on nero

Hisui / Re: j.BB Tech Punish Strings

spending meter just to get a chair setup seems kinda costly, and they still have the option to tech out after the OTG. Since you're still recovering from 22c you're left with very little time to punish. 2a to catch forward tech, im not even sure you could get a neutral or back tech.

i do see jp players use chair alot tho. Like every OTG, after a circuit spark even after an airthrow sometimes and i know if i were to even attempt it id get smacked in the face.

usually only go with 2b for akihas and len.
