Is there any way to get MBCaster to recognize the D pad? Shitty analog on PS2 pad is killing me. If I just have to wait for the next patch, then so be it.
For PS2 pads i think it depends on your converter, With my conveter if i turn off analog mode the depad will work but if i turn it on the stick will work.
Care to tell me the name of the converter you use?

Edit nvm I've found a couple on ebay.
I use a radioshack converter.  I probably was alittle vague i see that there is a point where i could be sligly mistaken, i meant that
turning on/off the analog on the controler not the converter(just incase thats how it was interpited)

My converter won't allow me to turn off the analog for some reason. I'm going to look around at more local stores for converters. Best Buy, Circuit City, and Gamestop didn't have any. For some reason my pc controller works when i turn off the analog, but the d-pad on it is terrible. If all else fails, I'll just purchase another PC controller. I'm getting a custom arcade stick made now and should have it in 3 weeks. I cannot fkn WAIT. Thanks for the help.

Think you quoted enough?

My laptop is faster than my Desktop(processing wise) both runing 400mhz FSB, my laptop is a dualcore turion and desktop is a single core Athlon 64 runing dual chanel memmory and OC'd to 2.5ghz(about 4000+speeds) .. the turion is just a simple dual 1.67ghz.

My laptop hosts very well especialy when setting the priority on MBCaster to higher than normal, doing this on my desktop just kills it.

btw, "good" desktops are runing 1.3ghs FSB and the most common FSB's are 667 and 800, not that its all that important with the right timings and settings theres allways a middle ground to be found.  theres also DDR3 which jumps up to about 1.8ghz for FSB ovbiously price vs performance vs size its not even worth it.

The comparisions are for comparable computers not with different cored processors the core is another processor so you are actually runing 2, 1.67ghz processors.
and DDR3 is only in video cards now.

Even with a 54mb wireless router I have never had a lan game problem, and I have lan partys every weekend.

My friend cannot seem to use the d-pad on his Xbox360 controller, but it's usable offline.
Any suggestions~nyo?
Thanks in advance~nyo.

Caster only reads directional input from the X/Y axis of the assigned pad, whereas MBAC itself reads from both the X/Y axis and the POV hat. The D-pads on X360 pads and sticks are seen as a POV hat. This is a known issue with the DirectInput support and will be addressed in a future release.

I use Xpadder

Desktops are always better that laptops no matter what ever your processer is, it going to run slower on a laptop. A pentium 4 1.8 Ghz is faster than a Celeron 2.5 just because it is poorly made and is made to run with less power. Running one program it is ok but more than one program or a high priority program (aka mbcaster) it will be slower. Also a laptop has to run more processes than a desktop. The fbs (frond-side bus speed) of a laptop is slower than on a desktop as well as the RAM. Laptop DDR2 (fastest RAM out for PC) runs at 400Mhz. while DDR2 for desktops runs at 533Mhz.
As for the wireless, my wireless MIMO runs at 1Gig a second and it runs just fine.(Faster and better than 100mb wired).

by the way how can i use a caster for lan play?
The person connecting will need I.P. of the person they are connection to, they will use option 3.
The person accepting the connection will use option 1.
When i did it i just connected at the same time and it worked well (minus the D-pad not working).
P.S. firewalls must be turned off or set to allow mbcaster.

I Used the mbcaster and played on my LAN and it worked well. The only problem i had was i  used my X-box controller to play and it did not accept the D-pad and i had to use analog stick. Other than that it was good.
