Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 is very good. Plug and Play for your PC, also works with PS3.As a better alternative to this, I suggest the HRAP2 and a Pelican PS2-PS3 adapter. It gives you USB and PS2 compatibility, and since a large percentage of the main fighters are on PS2, you'll have a stick for those as well as PC fighters.
A bit pricy though, but good stuff.

Dipstick covered it. That's pretty much how it goes. Imagine going to a gas station and going to fill up a tank of gas. Now imagine how many people have touched that pump handle in one day. Now imagine that pump handle is an arcade stick... and that's how you can get sick while going to an arcade. I always practice good hygiene and wash my hands often while attending events like these, but it's really easy to forget and randomly wipe your eye or rub your nose so you allow something to get in your body fairly easily. :|
