Final Fantasy IV and any variant thereof. What? A linear single ending RPG?

I know I'm biased as hell towards this game, but this is the game that got me interested in reading as a kid. While that childhood illusion of Square being the Scion of Gaming has loooooong past, I still adore this game. I love the setting, I like (most) of the characters, and the overall gameplay (as dated and overused as the system is).

The other games I've obsessed over include Alundra and SaGa Frontier (rather anything from the SaGa Series other than Unlimited SaGa). I used to be a huge RPG fanatic until I discovered Fighting games.

Good games guys.

Matty - I love how you made Thana rage-quit his round. I need to hit you up for some IaMP grindin.
Necro - I know you lurk the boards, so I'm just going to say ggs. You have an interesting F-Sion.
TP - You had my number that match. Time to grind so I have something new to bring to the table; losing matches 3:1 is terrible.
Beno - Thanks for showing. I'm still disappointed that I never got to face your Wara.

Digi - I've never had trouble with you in person, but the manner you conduct yourself on the internet is atrocious. I thumbed through the mirror of this thread on other boards where you completely killed people's interest in SFIV and various other games. You need to learn how to put your differences aside and placate the community a little to draw people into the event. Less emphasis on bonus money and bullshit drama, more emphasis on getting people to WANT to show up. That said, I had fun with our matches. Sorry you ended up against me in both the winner's and loser's bracket. :V

I play that game to get creamed as China. :V

I was never really all that good at IaMP.

Good shit. It looks really nice.

Lol@ the obligatory 30 second opening. I approve of your choice in music, though.

Edit: Yeah, I'm going to kick your ass for getting this song stuck in my head.

Currently learning and deciding between F-Sion and F-Ries.
You sir have good tastes. If I had to play Sion, I'd play F-Sion. Riesbyfe is just awesome no matter what version you play.

Sweet, I graduate from boot June 25th. I'm definitively going to this.

That gives me at least two weeks to grind when I get back.

Alright, I'll definitively see you fags there. I'll try and drag Team Purple with me.

I'd preregister if I weren't so lazy.

Noted. That shouldn't be too hard since I have a tendency to use a lot (read as: too many) charge moves anyways.

I'm far too aggressive to utilize Crescent's strengths to their fullest. =(

JC(land)JA JC[..]JB(jc) JA JC[..]JB [land] x N

C-Ries's infinite is hilarious as hell. However, since I can't do more than about two full reps, I think I'll just use the lazier non-infinite variant as a sick blockstring.

Does anyone know if this is even possible against Miyako or Len (or Neko Arc haha)? I'd test it myself, but I don't have the execution of a robot yet.

It can be my secret weapon against scrub Nrvnsqrs. :teach:

That should have everything. Don't pay me; I didn't extract them or anything. Azure did.

Neko Arc / Re: MBAA Neco Arc

C-Neko's normally useless 214 summons actually has a chance of summoning Neko Arch-Type Earth, which performs a move similar to her last arc for almost 3k unblockable damage. :fap:

I'm totally switching mains now. Srsly.

88
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. MELTY BLOOD made the lineup but BlazBlue has been replaced by MvC2?

This made the month for me. Good shit guys.

I'm going to have to agree with Loli. I wouldn't recommend C-Roa to someone looking for an easy character to learn.

@Sevalle: Because Tier whoring is totally necessary in melty. :V

It goes without saying that not EVERY SINGLE PERSON who plays the game and votes will be showing up to the event. That would be silly and unrealistic.

For example, I won't be making it because of my obligations to the United States Airforce. I doubt the military will let me disappear for a few days to play fighting gaemz.

That goes without saying, I'd be 'attending a funeral' during EVO if I thought I could get away with it.

91
I'm still not committed to this.

Regardless, I'll bring a Melty setup if I go (TV Excluded; I don't feel like carting one around).

GGs people.

On an unrelated note, TvC is hilariously easy and scrubtastic. It must be really good. :fap:

This video may have converted me from C-Ryougi. :fap:

To put that into perspective, I loathe half-moon.

I mostly like the unblockable setups. The fact that I'm biased towards Crescent Styles already helps.

I was thinking about doing money matches with Heartnana, but I know when I'm outmatched.

@Dippy: I'm lazy and like to waste meter in casuals. I would generally only use it with MAX anyways.

To be completely honest, I haven't toyed with Ryougi enough to know the answer to your questions. She's not a character I actually play (and I usually like to save the knife for unblockables, thus a lack of use in my BnBs), though I've been thinking about picking her up.

I'll certainly play with it more in practice mode, though.

PICK UP THE UNBARACKABARE KNIFE REI.

I'm too lazy to learn the 63214 combos for Ryougi (or anything optimal, really). When I feel like comboing with the knife I simply dial:

2B 5BB 5C 2C 22C [delay] 5c j.BC 236C [land] j.BC j.BC Finished with either 236 or a throw.

I'm noticing more and more that Ryougi can do whatever the hell she wants and still deal decent combo damage.

I'm perfectly fine with the graphics the way they are, thanks.

If they were to add any characters to Final Tuned (unnecessary), I would like to see some Arihiko.

I mostly want to see the shitty gimmick forms of characters either get revamped and/or buffed so they aren't just shitty gimmicks. That's just me, though.
