As with most Final Round tournaments, there are always special events. In conjunction with the hype video, there should be a special event with the community where skill, hype, and community are being displayed in high volume.

I have 2 events that we can look to be doing at Final Round. Only one will be chosen due to ensuring everyone's time is made enjoying the tournaments and running casuals:

1) Character matches. Put about 10-15 good players names with character variety in a hat and play a 3/5 match. Sort of the like the old GG Gamechariot character matches.

2) Red vs. White. Get all the who's who in American Melty and just have a hype ass team battle.

ALSO, I need a setup count for Larry. Post here if you are bringing a desktop, laptop, or monitor.

Melty Breadcast / Re: General feedback thread!

Our mission (Brandon and I) for Donjon is to have a community based, community driven show that's pretty much done for doujin/not-mainstream games in general; not just Melty. That is why I would have to point people in the direction of Breadcast for things pertaining specifically to Melty. Even though me and Brandon are rooted in Melty and some topics would be for benefit of what's going on in the community in a present time (such as Final Round promotion), we are not the "pure" voice of the community in this sort of thing.

Breadcast has been doing a decent job with keeping up to date w/ content we do need at this time. Granted there are things to be fixed around for better shows and better output, I'm pretty sure turning hands to a whole different show wouldn't be the best of ideas. The mission of Donjon Network would not coincide 100% with what Breadcast is trying to accomplish.

Are you the person that will make the hype trailer for mb at FR15?  I would rather you not use the logo. I would really like to speak with you on skype before you do anything involving the Final Round name. If you can pm me your skype name so we can talk later this evening sir.

Kamina is the one who's currently working on the official trailer. I'll be sure to have him talk to you.

What's the word on the community effort on getting CL to FR15?  I want to know so I can Properly promote this info. 

Might wanna ask Brandon that. He talks to CL almost daily. If I see him on Skype tonight, I'll ask. I will say that since the tournament was moved to Saturday, CL and JP chances of showing up have been raised by hype percent.

3v3 Pokemon single elim or 2v2 Waseda single elim, just like Mikado. It would be a nice gesture to the incoming international force. It's fast, and would give us a fun time on the tourney floor. I'm sure you people just want to rush down casuals on Friday.

I can't express how fucking hype I am now that Larry made that announcement. Someone just do it for me lol.

The breadcast thing is a good idea but I am unable to do anything Donjon or Breadcast related until about 2 weeks from now. Hopefully sooner.

If this is how you people want this to play out, so be it.

All we can do now is make it aware that Final Round is the tournament to be, whether overseas or here in America. Komidol is going to start a body count in JP and anyone in America would have half a brain to PRE-REG NOW BEFORE THE FEE GETS ANY HIGHER that you can't handle the entry fee to make it. I seriously want everyone here, in the south for this occassion.

Brandon, hold off on the show. My laptop shitted on me and it won't hold a charge. It is still under warranty so its getting shipped out. In this time, I'll be planning a show in late November/early December after NEC for FR. I have a show I want to do before then to handle October's quota for Donjon Network. On top of that, I want to start reaching out to CL/Komi/Sp00ky for CC impressions once the port drops in January. You're the one who talks to CL the most so see if he'll want to run that. I'd hate to back out of an interview with Larry so soon, but only if my fucking laptop had behaved properly.

I'm pretty sure EC is gonna blow it up at Winter Brawl and is a very serious destination for the game. I know the time gap between Brawl and FR is pretty short, but it is good advertisement for things to come.

Relating to Final Round setups, this is no different from 2008. We are on our own so I'ma need some serious help in this department. If you have a laptop reliable enough to set this shit up, bring it. I am sure the waiving of fees will apply here as well. Also, granted I have received my taxes on time, I will bring a monitor to present matches on, not to be played on but to view. It will be used as bracket presentation as well to ensure that both home folks and overseas know who they are fighting against and where. We must show Larry once again why we are able to sustain a smooth and on-time tournament that is able to generate hype as well. I would also like to try to grab a little banner from one of Chibi's posters. Maybe.

This is the 4th year that Larry opened the gates for us to show who we are. I don't have to go anywhere with telling you guys how crucial this is to us and Final Round as a whole for maintaining all these years of hype. I have told you many, many times before Larry but I seriously can't tell you more thanks. It's time I've shown you how much this community burns for this game.

And since it's long overdue, I will personally see to it that there is another hype video. There is no excuse this year. None.

do you guys know CL or owe him something?  because if this is a case of "let's randomly pay a thousand bucks to fly a stranger who's good at mb from asia to usa" why not offer to the best japanese players in the world with the most name recognition?  if you explained it to them, i think anyone would "want" to come with 6 months of notice and their ticket paid for them with a good chance at winning hundreds to a thousand in pot money; may as well maximize the hype with the highest level mercenary.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't CL one of the first people overseas that wanted to come to America and play Melty at a tournament exclusively but couldn't due to money problems?
