Type Moon Ace 7

So I tore up one of the 2 magazines I got to scan some stuff which I didn't find online already. Can scan the doujins and/or interviews, if requested.
Sorry for the rather bad image quality.

I had to redraw the entire part in the middle, where both Lancer's spears clash, and the left part of Arihiko's face and hair. I hope there will be an actual image so I can trace it.
And I'm pretty tired so I didn't spend much effort into it. You can see the edited parts.

Sry :x

Melty Blood Auditorium / Suggestion: MBAA Combo Database
« on: September 19, 2009, 05:23:07 AM »
Yo. I searched the net about combos and wasted much time browsing forums etc so I came up with the idea of a database containing all combos users submit into it.

Featuring stuff like combos sorted by char and style. Also uploading videos of submitted combos or "more combos with move xyz" or "more combos of xyz that work on xyz" etc.

http://meltyblood.de/charbase/

Submit formular would be like this, you can select char, style, input the combo, declare specifications, workings etc.
Then you may be able to include comboes by characters into your site instead of liking to the database. Stuff like that.

Of course it doesn't work up to now.

So, blah. Nag me about Hisui doujins & casterstats if you want =V

Akiha's Tea Room / OnLive - Cloud Computed Gaming
« on: March 24, 2009, 12:37:10 AM »
Scary things appear on the internet but there hasn't been a revolution for a long time, often for years. But this may have enough potential to let enough people out there literally shit bricks.

The idea of the concept is simple: You start your OnLive client, select a game and it's not started on your PC or console but on the OnLive servers, only receiving input signals from your keyboard or gamepad. Then, a video stream is sent back - quality depending on your internet connection - with minimal lag or delay. The system is not limited to PC or console gaming, also for "older" systems like Atari, C64.

The guys from Kotaku have tested that and as you can read on the page, were surprised that it actually worked with Crisis Wars. Although, only about 100 testing people were on the server, so you can't really guess what happens with several thousand people online, the delay will increase for sure. Cloud Computing won't help much there.
If this is going to be real, then console boys have no future.

So, I just wanted to post that. I was surprised.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Concerning Tournament Organizing / Evaluation
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:04:38 AM »
'Sup.

I am currenty planning and working on a browser-based tournament/league/ladder organizing system for Melty Blood or you can say a system for fighting games in general. Since there are just those for clans and first person shooters or real time strategy games supporting teams =/

Organizing and evaluating the results and maintain the tourney itself is a pain in the ass. It needs time and stresses out alot.
There can be some really useful stuff included. Like, automail participans of a tourney if something urgent happened or remind them at the day the tourney begins. Handling game results by clicking a few buttons. Results are stored and will generate automatic statistics and declare the winner/ranking at the end of the tourney.
And why not create brackets within a minute? Giving permanent awards to the winners of tournaments? Not to forget tournament logs like those in MBCaster. And what about a replay storage for every tournament?

Of course, these are all optional things because the main purpose for me to develop this is the work reduction for organizers and usability for the participans.

Those are the things that popped into my mind first. And that's why I am posting this. Are there things missing that are important? Do you have good ideas that would make it more comfortable and usable? I will appreciate them!

Oh, hi. This might interest some of you since the internet is a very good place for e-phallus comparing.

First, I throw a link at you:
http://casterstats.meltyblood.de

Download:
http://casterstats.meltyblood.de/downloads.php

After weeks of boredom this shit is done and is now a playground for you. Upload your statistics, show them to others and have nice but useless character- and player rankings on that HP. This is just a test project, if enough people like it, I'm getting this stuff serious.

But until then, download CasterStats in dat download section there and follow the white rabbit readme.

Merry Christmas.

Buglist in ver. 1.0.0.1 - Known bugs
  • If you or an opponent uses a nickname containing "Player", CasterStats pops out an error saying "sessionlog.txt not found". Fix this by renaming or deleting the lines. Will be fixed in the next version (Thanks to Kurii for contacting me about this).
  • The "most played", "most won" and "most lost against opponent"-stats are incorrect. Only those are counted in which you were on player side one. This is a minor bug but has fatal results. Will be fixed in the next version.
  • In those opponent stats there is often that "Debug Mode" among the top 3, which occurs of the reason above. If you start debug mode, MBCaster logs it and you are on player side 1 automatically. So if you do this more than once, e.g. to fix a problem, Debug Mode is often counted. Will be fixed in the next version.
  • Matches that were not fought out, like canceled in the character selection screen, are counted.
This causes weird statistics at ALL stats. It makes some matches not being counted actually. I have no idea what causes this but I'll go on it. Also thanks to Kurii for telling me that.
  • VSION does not appear anywhere because I simply overlooked and forgot her in this tool! I apologize, lol.
    FIXED in the new version!

If you have found bugs or have issues, post them here and also deliver your sessionlog.txt along, preferrably via PM. Also post details about your operating system. Thanks.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Act Cadenza Trainer for 1.03A?

Hiho, I found a trainer on one of my backups that unlocks the 2vs2 Team Battle to 3vs1 or 4vs0. Unfortunately, it's only for 1.02 and I wasn't able to find an updated one. Is there actually any?

Akiha's Tea Room / Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
« on: March 21, 2008, 03:58:51 AM »
There are many characters in the world of anime, manga, games etc. Some are strong, some weak, some inbetween.
I thought it would be interesting to have a weekly duel featuring two characters that have nothing to do with each other and to find out, who would win this duel. This can be a duel by fighting or by other methods.

But please argue good and detailed. "XY is much cooler" or "XY is invincible" etc sucks and will be punished with PN spam and naked pictures of your mother (notice the song reference). Explain, WHY XY would win. Explain his way to victory, will his usual habits be enough to beath the other one? Is it going to be a long fight? A short one? Is it close to a Double KO? Discuss.

I will get every week two characters to duel.
And yes, this thread is made for (TOPIC RELATED) nonsense.

So for this week it's:

Assuming Light doesn't know Phoenix' real name and hasn't Shinigami eyes..
