Akiha's Tea Room / [Sold] Selling Mahou Tsukai no Yoru LE Box
« on: March 30, 2013, 05:57:29 PM »
I am selling the Limited Edition DVD-Box of Mahou Tsukai no Yoru.

The box was opened once to inspect the contents, but was never actually used. The DVD was never run. I has been standing in my TM display shelf since the day it arrived. It would classify as "like new" (An item that looks as if it was just taken out of shrink wrap. No visible wear, and all facets of the item are flawless and intact.)

Contents:
  • Booklet, 101 pages, artworks, concept art and stuff
  • DVD-Case
  • PC DVD-ROM
  • Promo flyer with merchandise advertising

The price I want to achieve (and I will not go lower) is $150. I take care of the shipping cost and method. Sending worldwide.

Bonus stuff
By raising the price by $50 (total of $200) I will also add the following merchandise:
  • Fate/Apocrypha vol.1 TYPE-MOON ACE Edition
  • Fire Girl vol.1 TYPE-MOON ACE Edition
  • TYPE-MOON Calendar 2013-2014
  • T*MOON COMPLEX X03 by Crazy Clover Club
  • A picture drawn by me with a motive of your choice (reasonable) format DIN A4 (210 mm × 297 mm / 8.3 x 11.7 inches). Pencil and ink.
OR Digital Picture with a motive of your choice (reasonable), full color, any size.

Photos taken later this week, I'm very busy atm. Thanks in advance.

That's only Linne players not knowing how to play Linne. She has a great damage potential if she keeps her combos short and includes her projectile and the third rekka ground smash.

They skipped 1.04 as well in the process. But I'm sure they know what they're doing

The new update does not alter the gameplay in the slightest bit but adds the player card/registration system ALL.NET P-Ras Multi which means we'll be likely to identify UNIB players from now on if the video quality is good. :toot:

Just a reminder: Tournament has begun. Remember to read up your matchup, contact and play them.

But this time there are no breasts involved.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: The History of the Melty Blood Community
« on: January 18, 2013, 11:20:25 AM »
Great thread.

'twas a short story. Around 2004 I found out about the French Bread doujin circle. Was looking for some small indie games back then and discovered Bike Banditz. Played it, was short fun. Looked into the circle, found about Melty Blood, which was funny since I was familiar to Tsukihime.

So I started playing the still-doujin-game when like 3-4 weeks afterwards there were news on ReAct. At this time I was already playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves and was really selective to fighters. But since it was a Tsukihime fighter and had godlike animations back then I started playing that as well.

Nothing much happened afterwards, I even forgot about it completely until around 2006 I learned that a next installment: Act Cadenza, was released. This was the first version I legitimately imported from Japan. Half a year later in 2007 I found out about Melty Bread and starting from there the rest is history.

More info:

It was late 2007 when I decided to start an independent community. The initial plan was to spread this game in Germany and after setting up a website with information, a translated wiki and 2008 a forum - we were even able to get about 35 members (39 until today) - and hosting a small netplay tournament.

Shortly after the launch I had my 2nd car accident which came along with high expenses to I had to cut my internet connection for more than 1 year. During this time I learned PHP and started the CasterStats project.

While the German community alread died by then people were interested in CasterStats so I sided with Danielsan, a loyal fellow Melty player, to create and finish the statistics page. This bloomed for about 2 years until I had yet another accident and had to cut my internet again.

The site ran a few months without me but with the installment of Actress Again for PS2 people lost interest and were abadoning Act Cadenza in almost an instant. A few tries were to reanimate the page with new features and a new concept (was contacting mauve back then when he was giving me the proper tools) but that never came to be. So the site died.

When MBAA for PS2 was blooming I made preparations for the next CasterStats installment (Traybar icon, Lobbies, autohost + -join and all that shit, that was even all already coded), but since the creation of a Caster client was abadoned the project died as well.

2009 I was trying to reanimate the German community with an updated website but this time being demotivated from the events and attitude in the Melty scene I ceased development.

Thought you might be interested in this.

So much salt going on there. I regret nothing hue

45
Sure, picking the same char three times is legit.

46
Probably. We'll see about that.

47
Learn to forward ports ppl! :V

48
So it's a character locked, order locked, 3v3 tournament, where one player plays as all of their teammates.  Also forfeiting is allowed.  Makes me wish I could play netplay melty.

Requirements: Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code v1.40, internet access

Optional: MSI Afterburner or Fraps to record gameplay and upload them to youtube for us all to see.

Rules:
Rotation tournament. When this tourney gets kicked off, I'll make a list of participants. You'll need to fight every participant at least once. The winner of the tournament will be whoever has teh most wins.

Individual battles will be standard damage, best of three

Each participant will pick 3 Characters, a 1st, second, and third. You need to tell me what characters (don't need to tell me the moons) are your first, second, and third. When the tournament starts, you cannot change your characters or their order.

You can start off with any character in a fight but you cannot go backwards. As in, if you start with your second, you can no longer use your first but you can still use your third.

Whoever loses their third first will be the loser of that battle.

Example:
Frantic vs Petrikow (just popped into my head, I'm not picking on you)
Frantic 1) Miyako 2)Riesbyfe 3)Arcueid
Petrikow 1)Satsuki 2) Kishima 3)Nanaya

Frantic starts with Miyako, Petrikow starts with Kishima
Miyako vs Kishima, Miyako wins

Petrikow now has to choose Nanaya since he started off with his second and can therefore no longer use his third.
Frantic can still pick any of his characters though since he started with his first and has not yet lost a character.

Frantic picks Riesbyfe, Petrikow with Nanaya
Petrikow wins

Frantic has to pick Arc now, Petrikow is still stuck with Nanaya.
Petrikow wins

since Frantic lost his third, Petrikow wins the entire match and now has +1 to his win record.

Make sense? Anyways, the reason I'm doing it like this is so that people who pick characters to counter their opponent's choices will be penalized.

Anyways, deadline is February 1st for signups, you must have your roster picked by the 7th. I'll have a list/matchups a few days after.

Yeah if donations were at least going to some useful charity. I donated $5. But seeing how SSBM made it to place 1 respectively place 2 I'm shaking my head in disbelief.

But don't donate anymore on Melty except you manage to get more than $1000 together in the beginning.
