Combos are on the wiki. For pressure you want to get them into the corner and force them to do something risky to get out. 2A hits low and Half has a really fast dash, so dash 2A is better than for C/F. 5C can catch jumps and 5[C] takes off a ton of guard bar, and both of them can be rebeated. 22A is great at forcing them to block because of very short recovery, 22B is comboable on hit or if they jump out. She doesn't really have an overhead, and you shouldn't use 214B/236B, but when they're in the corner it shouldn't matter. You can force people to mash/jump/guard break. Satsuki also has one of the best ways to punish jump outs with 623C and she has a command grab.

After seeing the hype Melty Blood got compaired to SF4, that is what I would like to dedicate myself to, not some "just in it for the money and fame" BS.

This is what it's all about. Good shit.

Crossup protection in MBAC was for a set amount of frames regardless of what the opponent was doing IIRC.

In MBAA it only will protect you during blockstun if you get crossed up and if the opponent hasn't turned around yet.

CA (close to Arcade Infinity) Kohaku player here.

H is very much my preferred style, but getting that damn midscreen command throw combo down is killing me.
(Agonizing over getting the 5C(1) consistently and not whiffing 2C in //63214C 2A(whiff) 5{B} (delay)5C(1) 2C//)

And in C's 6C loop, I whiff 2C all the live long day after the first 6C.

Meh, and I was failing at these two combos constantly no more than 10 minutes ago.

Anyway, would be nice to get annihilated by some good players. Greatest way to learn.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any MBAA play outside of training mode, and no one seems to play whenever I'm at AI.

Also very much into shmups; 11/27 was a good day. A great deal of the tokens in the Mushihimesama Futari machine at AI came out of my pockets.
Hopefully the stick I purchased for it will improve my Touhou and MBAA game too.
Yet another Kohaku player. Soon the whole US MB community will be Kohaku and Kouma players.

Happens about 40 seconds in.
Yeah, supposedly it's 3f. Just delay B buster by like 1f and Genesic by 2f or something I guess.

Aren't you at a frame advantage with gadget? I saw a Tager do b buster after gadget and it gave the double purple, stop trying to combo your throws, throw break sign.
No idea, pretty sure I buffered first frame Genesic and didn't get that.

you can B buster out of gadget now?

*creams*
You can do everything out of Gadget. It leaves you and the opponent both in neutral.

Are we talking about ST Akuma or what? She had an advantage in every matchup, maybe one or two even matches. Akuma couldn't do 50% of a character's life in one projectile combo. She needed to be nerfed. I haven't seen any videos of her after loketests finished so I can't really comment on whether or not the nerfs she did get were deserved.

In other news

help I have to be afraid of hakumen now

You are all operating off faulty/outdated information.

This matchup chart is the source of the OMG NU WINS EVERYTHING! bullshit: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5920

You will notice that Inoue has said everything is an advantage for nu and given her a +11.5 to matchups; if you bother to look at what every other player says about nu, you will notice that: A) Inoue is full of shit and has no idea how to properly rate a matchup B) Rachel is actually the best character in the game.

Here is the more recent (and less fucked up) chart: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7339

Note: Rachel rating 90
          Nu Rating      80

And if you look at the tools Rachel has (free gaurd breaks, the best okizeme in the game, 5000+ DMG for no meter, silly good area denial, pumpkin); it makes sense.

You mean Rachel only has 10 more points because Carl vs Rachel is impossible and Nu sometimes explodes when playing against Carl. Nu also doesn't have a single bad matchup. The top 3 all needed a nerf just as badly, it doesn't matter who is better or worse than who else.

Or we can settle with what GG did and make Eddie horribly stupid in every single game. That's obviously a good solution.

3) and as abstract said: 623A is now ground techable. zidane did however come up with some tech checking on the fly.
E.g. dash 5b>236C will track 6/4 ground pass and dash 2a for neutral(8) ground pass. There are probably some stronger followups after the 5b but I don't really know sacchin that well and zidane is just getting started/didn't get to experiment with the ground tech punishers as we just found out on that day that 623A was techable.

If he has meter, he should end combos in 623C instead for crescent. Yuzupeko has put up a few better combo enders with better mixups off of them recently in that one big Sacchin combo video. He should probably watch that.

There's some really high damage combos off of 214 that I didn't know about. I don't know the properties it gains with more revolutions, but at some point it wallslams and does a lot more than normal.

And people talked smack about 2A spam.

God im glad i gave up on Mugen when i did.
I'm thinking of finding characters everyone seems to think are well made and doing the most idiotic combos possible with them.

EDIT: Kung Fu Man doesn't have anything that dumb except half life super combo you can juggle from after throw. Meh.

zone... ask 3s sean if he can do that.

Hey I've seen Sean basketball diss Ken SA3 combo for a win and him super straight through a Chun SA2 on reaction for punish. Clearly a broken character.

Kohaku's Magical Garage / Re: Comparison of character hitboxes?
« on: October 22, 2009, 04:13:24 PM »
2 things to note:

-Bounce hitboxes are NOT the same as falling hitboxes. If you're testing with just Miyako, this is huge, because her combos link from groundbounces. Same from Sacchin. Every character has a different hitbox for falling and one for groundbounce falling.

-Kouma and Warachia have the most notably weird bounce hitboxes. A character is on the ground when their body collision box touches the floor (the white box in framedata viewer). Off of a lot of groundbounces, after the character hits the floor they lose their OTG hitbox. Wara and Kouma's bounce hitbox is actually higher than their collision boxes. So what happens is:

Code: [Select]
       ........
       ........
       ........
       ........
       xxxxxxxx
CCCCCCCxxxxxxxx
CCCCCCCxxxxxxxx
_______________

. = their hitbox
x = bottom of their collision box
C = your 2C hitbox
_ = the ground

As you can see, their collision box touches the floor before their hitbox can ever touch your 2C hitbox, and once it does, they end up laying on the ground un-OTGable.

I would say to try getting ahold of Munsu or Veteru (two WA melty scene guys), but Vet can only be found on DFO* and I'm not sure if Munsu even comes on the forums anymore.  =\

Fixed that for you.

I hope you're not talking about Dungeon Fighter Online...
Btw, irc channel is #MBAC on efnet right?
#mbaa on mizuumi now. Unless you're that one guy that still wants to netplay MBAC with no one else talking in the channel.

SWR is a terrible game. The fact that the game will randomly say "fuck you guys" and give both players superarmor and make you unable to block for like 10 seconds at a time is the absolute LEAST of its problems says a lot.

It's not just a rumor, people just don't know the specifics. I'm pretty sure some specials have it too, but when A attacks would double counterhit with another attack the A attack gets superarmored.

Satsuki Yumizuka (Yumiduka) / Re: How does I combo Kouma and Ries with F
« on: October 09, 2009, 08:51:14 AM »
Use 5C instead of 2C. 623[A] only grabs when they're too high and both of them have really high falling hitboxes.

BTW Wara and Kouma's falling hitboxes after a groundbounce are gay. It's impossible to 2C them after j.[C] no matter what. You can do 5C 623{B} 2C 623C 2[C] 623{B} xx 236[A] for that 236[A] crossup/fake crossup if you want. Or maybe you can just do 5C 623[A], which I haven't tried yet. You can never hit 2C or 3C though, since they actually touch the ground and become un-OTGable before their hitbox gets low enough to 2C them.

So between playing Roa and Hazama I can play character's which imbody 2/4 phases of MJ's life. Now I just need a Black shota and a black super star and I'll have all four.
Black Carl color palette?
Fubarduck plays black Carl.

I don't know why I play Tager any more. Everyone has ground normal j.A j.A j.B j.C ground normal j.A j.A j.B j.C ground normal j.A j.A j.B j.C full bnb on Tager.
