To anyone living in the Philadelphia area: For the last week of 2009 I'll be opening my place for casual meltan. I can't speak for them, but chances are Myself, Phauxe, Chaser, Kite, and a couple others will be melting hours each day we can. Essentially we're preparing for Kirah's bash on the New Year, taking advantage of a few bored melters spending time at home this break, and leveling up for winterbrawl and FR. The casuals are very casual and learning-based. We'll be playing for fun but I want to some extent nitpick each other so we can all get better. Towards the end we might have some small tournament or random 1$ money matches, but I want to see some leveling up each night. I also have streaming equipment, but it's up to who's playing if they want to be streamed.

To a very limited amount, I'm willing to provide rides/pick-ups. Basically the limit is 10-15 minute drive away. I do live on the outskirts of Philadelphia (near Ambler), so I'm not driving 30 minutes to the heart of the city to pick you up when you can take the R5 or something and meet up with you at a train station.

We have two setups, and might make use of a third. We also might crash at Kite's place, even though he doesn't know it yet. <.<;

So, anyone who's interested, let me know. Players of ALL levels are welcome, but keep in mind if you're not too good we'll be doing nothing but playing meltan all night, so be ready for a beating

Sorry for the slow response guys, I actually spent the weekend in the hospital since I sprained my index and middle fingers (how will I play fighters!?

) but despite that I'm still hosting the event. If anyone needs a place to sleep, a couple days will be fine, if you don't mind the floor.

Day after Christmas I'll give people calls and organize some plans. My streaming equipment showed up so I'll have that too.

Not sure since I don't public transport very often. I live in the Abington/Wyncote/Jenkintown area - so I guess taking the R5 to the Jenkintown-Wyncote station would be best. Anywhere within that radius and one of our crew can come pick you up.

I'm looking at having most of the gaming start this weekend, after people take care of their Christmas plans.

I'm opening my place up whenever I get back from picking up a friend (around 2-4pm), so I'll let you know right when I get back. Again, if you want to come, just PM me and I'll send you my info. I'm going to be driving a lot today, so I should be able to answer PM's around noon, and again when I get back around 3. I know you're all hype, but remember, it is open all week.

The maximum limit is 8 people, or maybe even 6 at my discretion. I want as many people to come and play as possible, and I've gotten a lot of PMs from people who want to come. Regardless, I don't want it too crowded. We may have to rotate people if people have been chilling here for like days and other people want to get in, but I don't think this will happen. People who come the farthest get priority on staying overnight. Currently I have one full stream-capable setup, Phauxe will be bringing a full setup, and if anyone brings a PS2, we will have a third setup.

I only have four chairs and no couch to spare, so, there's going to be 2 people sitting on the floor for the 3rd setup. We will all probably go out to eat at one point each day since I hate ordering out (you guys can if you want). Bring some spare money for 1$ random MM's.
