"character love." It sadly has no meaning for me. I only play fighting games. :|

As for that tourney tomorrow, I remember hearing about that last week too. I think it's usually earlier in the day though. Sadly I can't make it to that since I'm arriving back in Phoenix pretty late due to a recent delay. And even if I were there, I'd have work. Soooooo, if anyone wants to meet Sunday, I'll be around. The scheduling system says I have that day off even though I requested a half day. I'll have to check with my team lead.

Edit: Dippy, is there any confirmation of that possible tourney tomorrow that you were talking about last week?
It's on the 19th, not today. I think I may have taken one too many hits to the head.

You jerks really gonna make me pick up Berette .50ul Calibur V?
It could be worse; wait until June rolls around and I make you clowns learn VF5:FS. :V

I'm also trying really hard not to jump onto the P4A hype bandwaggon. It just looks like it has the same issues I had with BB. No surprise since it's from the same producer, so clearly he knows best. Plus, when you have the tutorial telling you to "mash buttons," you can tell who they were targeting.
Wait until the ArcSys BB team/French Bread collaboration: now a fighting game with no oki AND no cross-ups!

I think P4A is going to be a compromise between the good games no one plays and the "Modern Play That Shit" games like SF4 and UMvC3. All of the /a/ pot monsters will be a side bonus; just learn to ignore them.

So, today or tomorrow?
Sunday would make more sense, as H-F would be able to come by then. Maybe I can even get some other SC5 players to come by. Or maybe we can actually play MB and get ready for F-Evo. :p

I'll play both. :|

I just got confirmation that due to a schedule error, I have tomorrow off instead of a half day. I'll probably take care of my normal weekend stuff in the morning and head over maybe in the early afternoon. So I'm set.

I'm too old to learn VF even at an intermediate level. :\

If I don't procrastinate and get my writing out of the way today, then I'll probably try to be there earlier tomorrow, too.

I'm still not really feeling MB.  I guess I could just play Sacchin, but I feel bad denying the closet-rapist in me a setup/control character.

I won't mind learning VF if you provide me with a copy :V

VF5:FS is going to be $15-20 on XBLA/PSN when it comes out... are you that broke?  :gonk:

Unless you want to try the original version of VF5... the funny thing is, the PS3 and X360 are different versions of the game. You could probably find them absurdly cheap at Gamestop or somesuch.

What happened to C-Aoko?

If I get released early tomorrow (it's possible), then we can meet up tomorrow. I'll provide a status update halfway through my day. Otherwise I'll see you guys after 7 on Sunday.

I should be good for tomorrow.  Sunday is probably a no-go.  Why so desperate for MB?

I dunno... it's an itch that I can't quite scratch. Or maybe that's herpes. It's not like I have a problem with people playing SC5 all night....

It still reminds me of the idea I had earlier of doing an MB gauntlet where we play every major iteration of MB up until the latest release just for fun. The issue is having all the previous iterations available. :|

As for the tourney on the 19th, unfortunately I won't be able to attend since I'll be out of town.

I'm on my lunch break right now. So, work's not that busy today, we have very few people waiting to be served at any given time, and they haven't let anyone out early. I dunno wtf why but I guess because we're understaffed in spite of those numbers. I'll see about attending after I get out today (around 7) and hopefully I don't get stuck with a senior citizen who needs an explanation on what USB is and where to find it on their pc.

GGs in SC5 last night. I feel like I got a little better even though I hadn't played since the last time I got a session in. lol

I can meet up tomorrow again. I'll try to be there between 4-5. But thankfully that dumb training I have to do on Tuesday got moved to the afternoon.

What sucks about Monday being a holiday is that I already have that day off to begin with so I'm not getting any extra days off. <.< Sadly I don't have Sunday off which sucks even more but I suppose if people wanna meet up that night, I have no issues with that.

Also, I kinda feel like playing Melty. :| Unfortunately I missed that SC5 tourney last weekend.

I'm okay with Sunday if it works for everyone else.

The only thing you missed with the SC tourney is that we all need to learn to fight Nightmare.

Yay! Melty's dead here! ^_^ Which is good because I really despise the new game.

Is SC5 worth getting into? I thought about playing it because Viola/Tira look amazingly fun, but I dunno. I've been playing Arcana Heart and Ougon a lot recently.

Ugh, Nightmare. I should have seen that one coming. Siegfried might be the best Nightmare counter. Just look at Keev vs OmegaDR. :|

Well we're playing SC5. For how much longer I can't say. Also, AH3? Good. Ougon? Why would you do that to yourself? :gonk: eeeuuuugh

Pyrrha should work really well against Nightmare since she's the punishing queen of the game, but Dippy's Pyrrha only has one speed, which hurt him a lot.  I'm not comfortable enough yet with Omega to have played that matchup well, and it seems like you have to really know Nightmare to play that matchup with Viola, otherwise you spend all your time getting pushed out of range and die trying to get back in.  I managed to beat him a few times in casuals, but it was entirely dependent on my being able to get in and ride his ass till he broke.

Melty isnt dead. were just on a hiatus. I definitly wouldn't mind playing some more melty or arcana heart. maybe even some ougon since they've released characters I want to play. Ive gotten into SCV as well now playing leisa or however you spell her name. So i'm at least up for whatever is thrown around.
