Yeah, I assumed none of you were going. You know, since there's nothing of interest there. I mean, you could play in a Melty side tournament buuuuut.... =D

If anything happens this weekend, it'll have to be tomorrow or I won't be able to make it.

No.  Sunday = Father's day, Monday = brother's birthday.  But hey, if Sat's a no-go, then I'm sure you'll manage without me since I haven't picked up VF and am not terribly keen on starting that game with matches seeing as I have virtually no experience with it.  Plus it means more time for Recettear and Agarest War Zero  :nyoro:

Ouch, busy weekend.

As for VF, take your time. Welfare version is only $15, bundle is $30 but for limited time only. I started out with matches the same day I got it but I had played the series a little before. Not much.

This is just a busy time of the year for me in general with birthdays for both of my brothers, my sister, brother-in-law, and father, with father's day as icing, all crammed into a space of like 2 1/2 weeks.

There's no one forcing you to play VF if you came by. Pretty sure people would be willing to play SC5, or MB, or SFxT (ok that last one is a lie). Also, let me know if you still want to go to Evo -- it feels like I've been changing things daily.

That's why.

In all honesty, I'm not seeing the reason for all the hate for this one.  Mechanics-wise, it isn't amazing, but feels like it takes at least a bit more thought than most other tactical RPGs I've played, which isn't a bad thing.  Not unbelievably complex (though I'd probably like that), but it doesn't take the FF-approach of "just hit everything as hard as you can", either.  It hasn't gotten there yet, anyway.  The system doesn't seem extraordinarily clunky, and the item creation system isn't terrible (yet?).  I'm liking the story, characters, etc.; but that's to be expected.

Evo probably won't happen; a few weeks back I saw they sold out of spectator tickets, and paying $70+expenses is not terribly appealing when the cash could be put toward more useful things, like another PS2 or a new TV so I don't have to break my eyes trying to read PS3 game text on a CRT.

You could've replaced the last title with OMKC and it wouldn't be. Some of the newer characters have legitimately sparked my interest but I'm just too damn lazy to install it.

Truth be told, I'm enjoying VF more than initially anticipated. I'm just afraid that all the time I'm putting in now may all go out the window with all the upcoming titles over the next couple of months when people start playing them. :\

GGs in VF5FS last night.

102 games vs Tempered. :psyduck: Last time I played 100+ consecutive matches was in MBAA on my b-day back in 2010.

That's not counting the 60 games we played before dinner. :V

Really, though? I remember going through some of my old UStream footage and found one night later in 2011 where we played an absurd number of games -- the final win count was 110-60 or something stupid... although that may not have been 100 straight at any one point.

I highly doubt all those matches were between us, but rather everyone who was there at the time and we just happened to not go back to title screen since you could set your buttons mid-match.

Saw that super long VF5FS tutorial but I've only gotten through the first hour of it, I'll have to watch the rest eventually. :psyduck: Just gotta start actually using all of the information. I like the game enough right now, but there are still some things that kinda piss me off.

I'll see you guys later today if I get my half day. Hopefully Tempered hears my phone call/text if that's the case. :|

I'll probably head over in a couple hours.  Not sure how things'll go today seeing as I'm sleep deprived and have had my soul devoured by AWZ, but eh, whatever.

I know dippy's in LA right now, but who's available Saturday night? I have work the next day so I won't be able to stay past midnight-ish, 1 at the latest. I'll see if I can find my PS2.
