Okay, so I need H-F to bait DPs and get hit by them anyway, drop more combos, waste a lot of meter for no reason, and run into everything.  I'll get right on that.

Yes.  What might work, or at least what worked for me, is installing the game data (running off the stick already, I know, but w/e).  For whatever reason, data install fixes that lock up problem.  On the offhand chance it happens again with data install, I've heard putting the PSP to sleep and turning it back on fixes it.  If you have problems beyond that...I got nothing.

I saw his tourney matches from last weekend. I'm still trying to reliably land that 7.7K awakening combo. It's just too clutch.

Orrax/Luke is interested in hitting up our group for P4A since the DL group is conflicted between Ruben having hosting complications and GW2 launching.

In other news, it's unlikely that I'll be able to make it this weekend.

I almost want to stream someone playing this now:

http://vgboy.dabomstew.com/other/ib.htm

Edit:

My Xbox HDD seems to have leprosy.  At least I think it has leprosy.  It's making a clicking sound when the Xbox is powered on.  Dippy, do you know of any voodoo capable of fixing this?  Preferably in the $20-30 or less price range, as any more, and I may as well pick up another one.

Will try to make it this weekend, but I make no promises on account of Makoto Shinkai turning me into a listless, weepy bitch.

The clicking bit sounds like the HDD is dying (which is what you get for playing too many Idea Factory games). There is no real fix outside of replacing it, so I would advise either backing up your data to cloud saves or a thumbstick ASAP.

just come over. we can watch the persona anime or something. or play persona. or something else entirely. Also HF seems to have a new schedule which might make Saturdays more convenient for people.

The last post makes it sound like there's a meetup tonight. Is that the case? Or does tomorrow work? And yeah, my upcoming schedule gives me weekends off now. Though there is the chance I might get a new job, and if that's the case, who knows what my days off will be at that point.

I...guess I could maybe make tonight if we really want to.  Will have to decide soon though, 'cause I have other things I'll default to otherwise.

See you guys tomorrow.

Dippy do you have any really good Aoi combos against the big fatty (aka Taka)? I'm coordinating a CMV project with VFDC and Aoi is one of the few who aren't represented yet. It can be really easy or extremely situational so long as it only works against him. That's the only restriction.

Holy crap, these netplay rules.  Win x games in a row, get jack shit, next game carries the "lose and rank down" tag!  I thought winning was supposed to give you a chance to rank up...?

Taka ONLY? I don't have anything off of the top of my head; the combos I typically do against him are either the same as they are with the normal heavyweights or cut down even further. I could definitely come up with something with some time in the lab.

I finally made an account here.  I always knew this day would come.

Anyway, Dipstick, what was that PS3 to 360 converter you mentioned?  Sorry for having to ask this yet again; it's like the name of this thing occupies a blind spot in my memory.

Why do we post on Melty Bread about playing P4A? Or VF5:FS? Or Double Dragon? Who knows. Good to know the poverty from last weekend didn't scare you off.

The converter you're looking for is the Xtokki 360 converter. There are some other places that resell it, but they don't seem to be priced any better than buying direct.

Thanks.  Hmm, looks like that's actually a PS2 to 360 converter.  Even better.

Edit: I found this: http://www.xgaming.com/store/x-arcade-adapters/product/x-arcade-xbox-360-adapter/

Looks like the same thing from the pictures.  And costs $10 less.  But then, it costs $10 in shipping for some reason when eTokki can apparently ship from Korea for under $4.  I guess X-Arcade only uses Fed Ex for some reason?  Weird.

Doesn't look like either one would arrive by Saturday anyway, though.

lol we post about games that this forum isn't about. Double Dragon? lolz

I still need to order that converter, and a new PS2 controller while I'm at it.

Dippy could you send me your VF findings over on VFDC? Now that I think about it the AZ thread over there is pretty dead. Last post was by SF_Punker and he said he was gonna be at hazbats this Saturday. I kinda wanna play him but I dunno if he'd be down for that. Also would you be up for TTT2 on launch day?

I guess we could annex the thread on MM; not like the DL group is really using it.  It'd give me a reason to push my MB bookmarks off to the side with the rest of the forgotten games, too.

Somewhat more (or less?) relevant; are we meeting on Sat now?  I don't mind skipping Hazbats since I'm not digging the 360-only thing and have nothing against saving $10 when there are other, potentially free, community plans in the works.

Well it depends on what dippy wants to do. I dont mind going to hazbats cause I have a 360 stick, But i know that'll keep Orrax and HF out for this weekend. Also if we wanted to meetup it would have to be friday or sunday. which conflicts again. I also dont really care. Do I want more P4 action. sure. Can I be spending money now? not really.

Also MM is going to get put on blast by Dippy so doubtful. And I still want to play MB. And what happens when AP comes out? TTT2? UNIB? its whatever.

VF players are nuts; if you can find an open station I'm pretty sure he would play all night. :p You could... you know... ask! As for my combo submissions, I haven't really diddled around much more with it; probably will tonight though (Aoi is not a character you play if you like making combo videos...).

Tekken? Tuesday? Sure; you'll need to bring your copy though as I know you can't play fuck all on the X360 and my PS3 copy is being shipped through Amazon.

I guess we could annex the thread on MM

FUCK. THAT. MM is ass.

Currently, I was planning on hosting on Sundays on the weekends that Hazbats were happening, and Saturdays the weekends they were not. However, if the larger animu collective is going to do their own thing (and I'm not really opposed to the idea), then I would adjust as needed.

If you guys want to meet tomorrow and kick the Hazbat thing to the curb, I don't care. Just decide and post up here by the time I get out of work tomorrow.
