Hi, mind dropping by IRC at irc.mizuumi.net #aumb for a netplay game?
If you don't know how to use IRC you could just add me on MSN or something. My e-mail is my MSN address, so just check my profile.

Just thought I'd poke my head in and make some noise. I'm in Christchurch, NZ, but that's close enough we might be able to get some netplay in at better than delay 9.

...Not that I'm actually any good but hey. :prinny:

Necromancy up in this. I don't know how many Australians there are on the site currently, but I figured it was worth posting to at least say I'm from NZ and play MBAC online. Most Australians I play get 80-100 ms to me, so 4 delay. Post or PM me if you want some games I guess ~

Considering you were nice enough to start a thread in place of my lazy self, I think it's about time I took effort to make a post. It's only 2 years late, not that bad considering right daka? =D

Anyways!

Heyo, I'm Myst, I'm from Melbourne and am part of couchwarriors, if you've ever stumbled apon us when we hosted melty monthlies in the past.
Competative melty sorta died down for our community after a while, but with the release of Actress Again, I'm hoping we can get some good interest in the game again.
I know people in #mb-au still netplay like daily, but I'm curious to see if there's anyone else from melbourne who would be interested in offline casual meets every month or so.
I'm mostly trying to see if there's anyone new out there who's come into melty more recently, or has returned because of the release of MBAA.

Onwards to some important stuff.

There will be an offline MBAA tournament happening on the 10th of October during the afternoon.

It will be held at:
The Swanston Room, Victoria Hotel.
215 Little Collins St,
Melbourne VIC 3000

It will be part of the overall Battle Arena Melbourne tournament, so there is a registration fee. However, this is part of Australia's biggest annual fighting game tournament event, so if you happen to be interested in Smash Bro's, Blaz Blue, Street fighter, Soul Caliber or Virtual fighter 5, it may well be worth taking a look and seeing what else you can enter.

More details on the overall event can be found here:
http://www.couchwarriors.org/bam/index.php

anddd bump for #mb-au. If your Australian, come lurk with us.  :toot:

Hey guys!

Another year has passed, and it's that time again.

Melty will be at BAM again, all day casuals and a DIY tourney held this Sunday afternoon.

Location:
CQ, Event Room 2
123 Queen Street,
Melbourne VIC 3000

More details on the whole event can be found here:
http://www.couchwarriors.org/bam/index.php

Sorry guys, really late notice, I dropped the ball on this one. If you happen to be in melbourne and stumble apon this in time, I hope to see you there.
Alot of participants from last year, both from melbourne and interstate will be there. Look for 'Myst' if your at the event and want to chase up details.

Alright so, with the advent of Current Code, it looks like our small group of friendly poverty fights players has some renewed interest in Melty Blood.

If you're hungry for games, come down to channel #mb-au on irc.rizon.net and get acquainted with us! We have players of all skill levels, including those who are just starting out and those who have been in it since vanilla.
