Hey everyone, since I saw nothing for Connecticut I figured I could make a [new?] thread for us poor New Englanders. Luckily I already have a place where we can meet-up every Friday if anyone is interested.

As I noted in the Battleground thread, I have 4-5 buddies who will start playing. They play Warachia, Nanaya, Kouma, and the other 2 are still deciding.

Really now? Well this is good news then. You should also consider making it to Battlegrounds on Friday. We actually had a decent amount of people there playing Melty.

I'm trying to get into Melty now that I have a PS2 stick to play with. If anything is ever going on near Boston I'm always down, or elsewhere if I can find someone to supply a ride.

I doubt anyone would drive about an hour out to get me anyways. Randolph is like straight south of Boston, so far away from the west side of MA.

I'm having no luck so far with Act XIII, but Kona brought up a good point last night that we can hold it as a weekend event before Act XIII. He can explain the details, I just woke up :toot:

I didn't necessarily say weekend before ACT. I said sometime after Final Round. Anyways, we had our 2 day tournament thing before which had Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, Garou for Friday and SF4, Tekken 6, and Soulcalibur 4 on Saturday. Friday had such a low turnout which I'm assuming is from people having to work on Friday or were busy. On Satruday we had an excellent turnout (because Saturday seems to work for most people and I know SF4 always has a good turnout). So my plan was this: we have Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom on Saturday. The following Saturday will have Street Fighter 4, STHDR, and Tekken 6. We keep them on separate weeks so we don't overcrowd each other and we'll have people come when they're more likely available. So what do you guys think? Like I said, this will be sometime after Final Round. I'm going to aim for April 3rd for our set and April 10th for SF4's. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'll touch upon MBAA Gameplay, GGAC and Why it's Important for the New England Community, General Fighting Theories for MBAA, and a Q&A for Melty and Guilty players.
I'll also bring to light some good recommendations for practicing for both games. If anyone would like to help (especially for GGAC!) and give their insight and knowledge to newer players and people interested in playing that'd be greatly appreciated!

So is there still a NE crew? I'm from the skullgirls community and I know we do stuff every Friday and wanted to know if there is still a thing for melty.
Oh shoot should introduce myself I'm Josh I'm from MA (out west for school) and I like playing fighting games competitively. So give me a shout out if any one ever wants to play :^)

Where in Mass are you usually? I'm up in Boston/Allston area 2 weekend out of the month (usually to visit girlfriend and to pass by NY for fighting game stuffs) If you want people to play live and are local I could ride around and play a few games lol
