I'd love to try to get together for some of this stuff but it just so happens I'm going out of state tomorrow for college

Next summer I may actually *gasp* have a driver's license (shut up) and be able to get to Chicago without relying on my parents, and at that point I will do my best to hit any sort of meetup.

There's a gathering at my place Saturday, but it's full.

I made the post in the Chi gatherings thread on SRK on Monday, and got overwhelming amount of responses. I would like to have you there, but I already had to turn down some people so that's a no-go. :/

I just assumed you didn't respond right away cus you got scared of the Thai restaurant lol. Maybe next weekend?

I didn't know that I had to RSVP. We talk to each other every damn day. I stayed in town rather than going to Indy because I'd rather play here than travel, only to find out I needed an invitation. I got home too late from Nappy's to sleep and then drive down to Indianapolis tomorrow. Now I need to figure out what the fuck I'm gonna do. At least I didn't just show up like I had planned. I would have felt more stupid than the time I drove to your place during rush hour to find out that I needed a secret pass code to get into your apartment and waited around for almost an hour for someone to let me in for nothing.

Dan, you must understand that this is a open gathering, so I have to treat everybody on equal footing. When I say 'contact me if you are interested in attending' beforehand, I really do mean it. It would be a different case if I lived in a large environment, but you've seen the size of my apartment.

Subsequently, you can't just assume that I expect you are intending to show. You didn't PM me, or say anything about it on irc all week so I really did assume you either didn't care or have other plans.

If I host MBAA-specific gatherings in the future, then I will remember to save a spot for you.

Dan, chill your head a little.

I never promised a gathering last weekend. What I asked you guys last weekend was 'would you guys come back IF I hosted another gathering'. You said yes, Chris said yes, and Frankie said yes. So the next thing I did was post on SRK to let you guys inform that I was hosting another gathering. Chris and Frankie both replied to me showing their interest, while I heard nothing from you until late last night.

I need to re-iterate that again, that it's a capacity issue. You wouldn't want twenty people to randomly show up at your house without notice, would you? It's a matter of basic courtesy as well as allowing me to plan what games to set-up ahead of time. The gathering today was intended to be open to all people in the region... not just you. I like to play by the rules, and am not going to just shaft people the way Lee-K did just because I don't know who they are.

Luckily for you, one person just dropped out. So you can show up if you still wish. I sent this message to you on irc as well, so it's your loss if you didn't see it.
