Yeah, though I dunno if he still plays, don't really know him.  We're a bit too spaced out for it to be worth traveling for how few of us play last I checked.  I'm just hoping maybe some new blood that's just been assuming nobody here plays will take notice.  A MAN CAN DREAM RIGHT?  :emo:

I just moved to Iowa from Missouri recently. I'm mainly busy with school, but I used to play a bit of Melty.

Nah.  People get together for Capcom games pretty regularly, actually, but I don't remember exactly where (Dubuque I think?) since I have little/no interest in joining them, though people do seem to be trying to hype up KoFXIII.  For Melty Blood or Guilty Gear players, it's rough.  I don't think they're getting into SoulCalibur either, but I don't keep up with the SRK thread much.  If you're less picky than me, you should definitely check that out.

Don't take it so hard.  There's interest among some of the smash players (and some Ames randoms) and blank's one of the best players in mw.

Edit: Has nothing to do with fighting games.  I'm from SoCal, not a single day has gone by I haven't wanted to go home since I moved here.  Winter can die in a fire.
