lots of people show up at my place on fridays as well, but lots of non-melty-blood gaming happens on fridays.

Hi,

I posted here previously a while back, but never followed up. What games do you guys play now a days? May I ask where generally you live SaruKada?

I'd be interested in playing Melty Blood or other fighters. Persona 4 Arena looks pretty good once it comes out. I still play some Blazblue, but I don't think many people play it in BC/Vancouver still.

I live near UBC, Tramador.

We still play melty as mentioned, and other than that, there's street fighter IV, ultimate marvel vs capcom, and guilty gear. we're also currently doing 4 player gears of war 3 horde mode, and we just about always have a game of japanese mahjong (riichi mahjong) going on fridays as well.

I've heard conflicting opinions regarding the persona fighter, but I'll probably buy it regardless when it comes out. not sure if anybody still does blazblue in vancouver. as for other fighters I would be willing to play, in no particular order: eternal fighter zero, touhou immaterial and missing power, hokuto no ken, fate/unlimited codes.

Haha, Persona just because it's being developed by ASW.

Cheers,

Haha voomer

Did you watch the guilty gear? How was kusoru playing? His usual style?

Saw the tournament footage for marvel. Kusoru, too good, nobody can deal with log trap spam.

I didn't watch GG because it was the same time as Melty teams, but he won the tournament with a dragon install combo, IIRC Steve H took him to the last round. The whole thing is up on nico somewhere now.

Hey guys, I'm trying to gauge interest in a Melty Blood side tournament for Northwest Majors 4 (June 2-3). Let me know if you guys want it, I want to talk with the tournament organizer about this soon.

not entirely sure how interested our community would be in traveling down to a more major tournament, seeing as we're mostly(seemingly) a casual community.

these aren't the thoughts of the entire community though, just my own

Ah I see. Do you guys ever host any tournaments in Vancouver? We'd be willing to travel up there

We don't really host tournys up here since we all know each other anyways. That and not many people would even come from out of town for it(except maybe you lol). If for some reason you ever come up here, SaruKada may be able to let you stay at this place which is where most of the mb action happens.

If you want, you can always add me on msn and hit me up for some netplay. Seattle to Vancouver is only 2 delay so it's alright.

As for northwest majors, I don't actually know if I'd even be available to go during that time frame.

...online Seattle vs. Vancouver 5v5.

Seattle wins but only in the sense that we all lost.

On the more serious note, as Sam said, we'd be willing to drive up to get a few games. If overnight accommodations could be provided, that would be great!

Do you happen to have a time or a place available when/where you think we could get the most people involved?

It's really up to SaruKada since he's the only one who has a decent place for anyone to crash at.

If you guys do come up, I can probably get all the regular MB peeps to show up at the very least. Though that really only means like 5 - 6 people >.>

More if the none regs decide to come as well.

Hey guys, I've always been down for hosting bros that make the trip up. It's not the biggest place, and would be a bit tight with 5-6 as some of you may remember, but as long as you guys are cool with that I'm more than willing to let you guys crash there.

Did you have dates in mind? Usually friday nights are the best, and it carries well over into saturday.

NEXT SATURDAY. MELTY RANBATS. SHOW UP.

I'm still down for the 5v5 lain, and I'll def be down for NWM if I can get the time off.

I was planning to start around 3PM unless it was a badtime for Jackson to show up / too early or late for people.

So on the pricing details for stronghold it's $7 drop-in or $15 for a monthly pass idk if we'll be able to have ranbats there next saturday though because mtg grand prix is on.

the $2 on the drop-in and the $5 on the monthly is to pay the streamer, since I'm getting Canadian Joysticks to come stream.

No idea, ask stronghold if you need a seperate pass for each game since it's their venue fee. If they say ok I really don't have a problem as long as I can pay jackson for coming out to stream.
