Gameroom was lame. People there weren't interested in playing good players. They just wanted to inflate their egos on random scrubs. They lied about having the latest GG and allowing sticks. GG winners didn't receive their prizes (though we were offered free tickets for the next MagFest, which we turned down) General atmosphere was very unsociable. You wonder why people even bothered leaving their houses. But, eh, shrug. I suppose conventions offer other things besides tournaments and games. And I've only been to one MagFest. Maybe I was unlucky and came on a bad year.

so yeah im trying next week to see if i can make to UMBC for some Melty goodness (as well as gg goodness) but my only problem is i need to be able to stay at someone's place and leave the next day for the chinatown bus... so guys ill let you know when im available...next week...

Finding a place to stay at or around UMBC may or may not be easy.

I don't know who two of my apartment-mates are. I'm sure they would say yes, just because we all just met and they wanna be friendly. But I don't want to force that on them.

Seth (Moroha), I think, already knows all his apartment-mates, I could talk to him about it.

I also know a couple of people who have their own places off campus and probably wouldn't mind keeping ya for a night. As long as you don't mind being uncomfortable.

Or you could do what Eli, Jeremy, and I did when we all went up to Chinatown. Not worry about a place to sleep and just stay up the whole 24 or so hours we were there.

Also, I don't have a laptop for Melty Blood. We may have to suffer playing Japanese otaku style and be all cramped up in my small apartment room, sans shitload of figures, dvds, and other questionable materials. I'll stack up my comp sci books for you to sit on.

I'm leaving for college in a couple days and I'm taking MB with me. So basically no MB casuals with me for a few months unless I bum a ride to C3...gatherings for MB are nearly non-existant in VA/MD anyway. VR will not have access to the game anymore but I'm sure he wouldn't practice anyway (what a champ!) so it probably won't even matter.

I'll be in University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) from Monday to December 19th. I can't really go anywhere, unless I bum a ride off somebody. But if you wanna come down to UMBC, I'm down for some games.

I practice, Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, and Tekken. And I play/putz around/heard of every other fighting game.
