how much are one of those things nowadays?
wednesday it looks like many people will be here.
Ours was $119.99 marked down from $149.99. They costed anywhere from $119.99 to 200-ish (Usually the more expensive price is because it came with a tuner; ours didn't).
The bad news is, plugging the PS2 directly into (and rerouting out of) the DVD recorder makes the game lag too much for competitive play.
The good news is, there's no reason we shouldn't just be able to split the PS2 AV into both the recorder and the TV. I should probably test it before I say that, but I don't see what the problem would be. We've got a splitter but it's one of those 5-way bricks. It works as far as lag goes, we just need to make sure we can record shiz. If we don't buy a smaller splitter before Saturday, we'll still bring the 5-way. It's not too much of a hassle.
... I didn't even know these existed but wow they sound like the best way to capture something if you don't have the right computer equipment and seems a lot easier to lug around (usually people have the shit on their desktops and its hard to get on a laptop?)
Yar, that seems to be the case. Only thing is I'm pretty sure it can only record one match at a time, but then I'm not really sure how another DVD recorder would record more (unless it had multiple DVD drives or something).
