Alright SJSU people. So I just found out that I did not get the job, meaning that when my layoff takes effect at the end of October expect to see me alot more for practice. The goal is to see myself on par with Magz, Alt, and Tsubasa (when he's mad) by next West Toast.

I'm there in the afternoons. There's a couple of guys that know how to execute, one that's OK with the scrubby characters (nanaya/shiki), me, and couple of people that just started. I'm trying to help the new peeps as best I can, though I'm not very good. So yeah, there's people who play. Not everybody all at once every day but something can be arranged I'd think.
As for GG, there's 4-5 fairly good players, and a few douchebags that usually come for mvc2/3s tue/thu.
I got some good games today vs a wlen player who actually made a 1-2hour trip to get there O.o

I'm finding that I have more success attempting Arc's wallslam combo over the whiff cancel combo. I'm only held up at one point in the combo. The part after the first 5a 5b 5c where you go back into 5a 5b 2b 4b, my 5b doesn't feel like hitting. After that all I need to do is refine my opener, battle test it and I'm all set.
I'll probably attempt it on stick next time I'm at SJSU as I think it would be a bit easier to hit the 5a 5b 2b 4b as fast as they need to be hit.
Arc is too much effort for little reward, while tohno is far less effort and far more reward. STICK WITH YOUR MAINArcueid has excellent rushdown accompanied with good priority, loads of clash frames, and awesome mixup.

I've made my decision and I'll stand firmly by it. Like I told other people, I'll still make it down to WTs in the future to run the tournament, and other things, but I won't be only going down there for WT anymore, so it really isn't a waste of my time. Even if I'm quitting this game seriously, it doesn't mean I'm going to let this scene die. I'll still do anything to keep it alive and I won't talk down on it (on a serious tone) to people, i.e. Evo Staff.

I'm still down to set up a tournament here at Sac State in late January. I'd only put the effort in doing it if I know of at least 10 other besides the locals who would be down to come. Anything that's set up at San Jose would be fine too.

Not dropping, more like going 50/50. I have fun playing Wlen (If anyone can believe that.) I have most Tohno stuff down (Minus the EX dragon kick combo) so I'm about ready to seriously start up on an alt.
As for progress, so far I have the basic 623a combo and the Red Arc/Len combo down (damn you Jay!), though I have problems doing the 623a combo to the left consistently and I have no decent blockstrings.
Needs more feedback. Either day is fine for me.
