Regardless, thanks to everybody who showed up.  Bring more friends and your hype; everything is for repping that NorCal MBAA scene @ EVO.

Yeah, we have been sessioning every friday since the semester started and won't stop until I move out in may. I'm glad to hear somebody with a PS2 stick is planning on coming.

*edit* I should be able to record directly to my macbook on the main setup this week, and with my camera if we have a second setup going.

Bah, can't go. I've exhausted all the money to make the trip because I had to run some errands and ship a package off that cost me 38 dollars x.x

No Session This Coming Week 2/19

Not that anybody would be showing up anyways between the furlough day and American Melty.

I am working on uploading the videos now, but from now on I won't be labeling who is playing in each individual video because I don't have the time.

Videos up on youtube. The audio is horribly desynchronized ORZ. I will stick with the cam for the remaining sessions since the quality is fine, and less recordings is fine too, since uploading this huge batch sucked up all the bandwith for my house resulting in salty roommates.

Oskar, is my pelican converter at your place? I can't seem to find it. Also, are you going to up any vids from the SJSU session?

I have not seen it but I will keep an eye out for it. I have about 10 vids from the SJSU session but I need to wait until really late tonight to upload them, otherwise my roommates will be pissed at me again.

So I have some good news for you all.  It looks like Gamma, from Dustloop, is willing to host his venue at Devry University in Fremont.  More information will come soon, so mark your calenders for the March 6th's MBAA hype train!

I am interested in hosting a Saturday session this week (in addition to the regular Friday one). There are at least 2 people who can't make a Sunday session at SJSU, and I personally loathe the idea of going to SJSU this weekend, so I am just probing for interest in Saturday at SFSU. Post up if you want to come and think you can make it.

Since there's some Melty action happening, and I'm having keeping track of them, could someone post when all the MB sessions are happening in the month of March?  Write it out in the following format:

Time:
Date:
Location:

This includes gatherings that are - tentatively - being planned or, random, casual sessions.  :3

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Date: March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
Location: SFSU (PM me for Address and #)

I have 1 permanent TV and 1 PS2 and my own stick. Currently I have Jeffm's TV for a second setup but it needs a PS2. If you have a stick BRING IT.

People really need to get their own sticks. I really don't like loaning mine out.

When I go to the sessions, I'm bringing my stick with a flashclone in it, and I really don't like other people using it... I have to do this because my stick I usually use the JLF is dying.

You should probably bring it. I'm going to start being pretty anal about people using my stick (for example, requiring people to wash their hands before using it).

You can use it for Battle Fantasia!

I am still waiting for all the parts to come in but I am going to test livestreaming next week, and if it works out I will bring that setup to the ranbat.

The problem with livestreaming at the ranbat is that we will have to share bandwidth with the GGAC tourny. At the moment just recording is fine but we will try to stream top 4 again. I'm not even sure if we will be allowed internet access at the new venue.

I did not consider the new venue  :psyduck:

It doesn't make bit a of difference though the setup should work great for either live streaming or direct recording.

What does your setup consist of right now anyways? I am curious.

Nothing fancy. Just an amplified splitter 1 in 4 out which takes composite or S-video and a usb capture card that will take composite, component, or S-video. I will also have the necessary male to male cables for S-video and composite. Still waiting for the stuff to arrive though so no guarantees, but it should work fine in theory. If somebody has a TV with component out and the necessary component male to male cables I could record that way too but if we are using Tsubasa's setup I will need to use the splitter (Ideally I would have liked to get a component splitter but they were waaay too expensive) I think s-video quality should be fine, especially for youtube.
