well looks like SJSU went well, time to start planning for the next NCSC event. ive already pulled out a few ideas but its going to take more time to find some solid options.

Some of you Sac guys seemed pretty interested in net play. You should go to #mbac on EFnet on IRC and look for games there. It's probably the best MBAC net play meeting place there is.

Also there's a nice netplay community on pyoko, called #SRM. I'd idle in both the channels for netplay games imo.

I'm not sure where this is coming from. If we weren't serious about MB, do you really think we would drive all the way to San Jose for a tournament that we were expecting to lose in? If you want competition here, give me, Idolo, Cpt. Nanners, Satsujinki or Sentenru a PM stating the time and place and you'll see just how "serious" we are...

Gatherings once a month =/= serious and doesn't exactly give much room for improvement.  I didn't get good in GG by playing some friends once a month.

dude, if you want to play, just give us a PM. we live in the area so its no biggie for us. and trust me, nanners, blaze and those other guys dont play just once a month. they play each other nearly every fucking day of the week. go ahead and ask any of the SJ players just how much improvement we've shown since.

but seriously. if you wanted to get some casuals in, put up a post here and we'll see how it works out in our schedules. i'll even try to get makau back in here

yeah, we dont use the threads very often because everyone who was seriously interested has already been making other methods of contact such as over the phone.

the sac group practices pretty intensely, there really isnt any need to use the forums on this subject because everyone who was already completely interested has taken steps to meet more often.

the original goal of this thread was to just get people to know that there is a scene out here in sac.

as of now, you can litterally see how much everyone has improved (lol watch the replays from plastic cup and then compare them to 73cm cup.)

yeah we still dont. we were thinking about going over to sac state or UCD for a venue for the next big tournament, but once i thought about the layout of their union/bowling alley those places seemed to be no good. unless you're willing to lend us your house for it...

but for casual practice sessions, we usually just go over to one of our houses down here in sac. its nothing too big, just a couple of guys. like i said, if you're interested in getting together sometime, just post something here and we'll get on it.

for some fresh news, im hoping we can get an organized casual play this weekend on sunday. ill make some calls and arrangements and see what we can do and where we can go. if anyone has any suggestions (for the larger sacramento area and locations around it.) well this is just me, but im hoping we can get alot more organized first before we can do another tourney. the first one wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.

just wanna get stuff straight before making a second attempt.
the biggest issues about our last tourney were:
-Rushed tournament (most of that was from the con-staff who were bitching at us though)
-Shitty (very very shitty) brackets
-terrible environment (sweaty ddr playing power rangers was not fun to be next to)
-early start time.

what im hoping we can improve on our second time is indeed those points, along with:
-a nice open venue that dosent mind us and stays open late.
-if we do find a nice location, im hoping that the heat isnt ridiculous, im sure most players like comfortable environments over hot musty ones.)
-getting more attention and players from our area as well.
-coming armed in order to shut up some certain shit talkers (lol jk.....or am i?)
