Damn, it's been a while. Anyone up for some sessions?  :slowpoke: :nyoro:
Arguing on which FF game is best doesn't make sense to me.  It feels like you might as well be picking out who's the best schoolyard ball player of the kids who didn't get picked for either team.

I'm finally getting my own car tomorrow.
So if you guys want to play, I can bring the PS2 and game(s) if we need more than one.
I won't be able to host myself for a while, though.

I'm thinking of holding small sessions at my house Fridays/Saturdays. Games include GG, BBCS2, and whatever you want to bring. I gotta say you have to get food from places nearby if you want to eat something, I just can't feed y'all with my family's own food. spacing is limited, so maybe up to 3 people can come over. If fyou live nearby, and can't make it to bigger events, come on by and we'll play fighting games and talk about whatever!

What's good Sac? I'm from Stockton and I'm like the only person in the 209 that's playing the game. If y'all are doing things, I can prolly make the journey up to Sac-town whenever I don't have work. I also play with the guys at RamNation and GameCenter so I can show y'all a few things if you want.

What's your work schedule like?
I generally work Tuesday through Saturday, so I can probably hold a session on a Sunday or Monday.

Cool. I'll post back in this thread (and maybe shoot out a couple pm's) if I can get anything set in stone.

(Sorry for the late reply, been busy with work and school.)

I've been netplaying with a friend who lives in Folsom and another who lives in Canada (Ontario) and it's been smooth. (i.e. no noticeable input delay.) But then again, you know how netplay can be.

It looks like I'll be free this Monday, how about you? I could see if I can get a session going somewhere, and invite Cori, Arvoyea and Zephyr.

If anyone else is interested, please let me know.

Soooo, I talked to the assistant manager at a bowling alley I work at (Land Park Lanes on Freeport) and asked for his opinion on hosting a small tournament/session there every now and then. From my point of view, he's the manager that most of my coworkers aren't sociable with; the least... for lack of a better term, affable? manager.

He basically said that our general manager (GM) usually "rents" out the "fun land" room (which is where we hold birthday parties, meetings, etc.) but it's possible that she would give me a discount/let me do it for free since I work there. I gave him a general idea as to how many people I would expect (<20), and some reasons as to why it might support our company. Unfortunately our GM just went on vacation for a week, so I'll try asking one of our other managers in the meantime.

Anyways, on to the more concrete stuff. I have two laptops I can bring, both with the capability to run MBAACC, fully patched etc. I don't think we have a internet connection at our alley, so we wouldn't be able to stream; but I would be willing to record the matches either in-game or with some third party program (provided it didn't affect gameplay) so we could upload it later. I can bring my arcade stick as well as two PS3 controllers, but that's all I have; although I could probably bug Corimon to let me borrow hers, assuming she doesn't participate herself. I was also considering bringing my 360 with a monitor so we could have AE/UMvC/SC5/KoF13 on the side as well.

The only people I can assume would be interested are Zephyr, Corimon, Arvoyea, Hi I'm Nastyy(for marvel, not melty lol), and myself. If anyone else is interested, please let me know. I've already shot my GM an email, so I'll update as soon as I hear anything back from her or my other managers.

Of course, I'd be willing to drive out and pick up anyone who's not too far away. (That means you, Arvoyea!)

Sorry for the wall of text, kind of excited that my manager was open to the idea.

That sounds fun, I'd be interested depending what day these go down. Is there any shot of this getting started up sometime this month? I could use some last-minute competition before going to Final Round.

Anyone who wants last minute NorCal Tickets, I found this:

With registration and food and that'll keep your total cost under 450$ for attending.  Just throwing this out there.  If you come at 3:30pm to that airport and checkout expeditiously, I can pick you up with Garu and Chelsea.  This will make it so you have time for all tournaments.

Most likely Sunday or Monday; Monday seems like a more plausible option, as we don't have any leagues bowling in the evening.

Unfortunately our GM won't be back until around the ~21st, so probably not this month.

I could see if I could hold a small session if you'd be willing to drive up again; is Monday still your preferred day?

Yeah, I just ran it by my dad. He's alright with me having a few people over on Sunday or Monday. I suggested Monday since that seems to be the best day for you. Zephyr will still be in Reno, but I might be able to get Corimon to come over.

Hey guys. My name is Jay and I run Capitol Fight District in Sac.  If you are interested, you can come and bring Melty for everyone to play. I have been messing around with CC training mode and I would like to more about the game and learn how to play it.  My next event will be on March 10th. There will be a UMvC3, AE, SFxT, MK, and Blitz there for tourneys. If more players get a hand on MB, maybe we can grow the scene in Sac. Let me know if you guys would like to come!
