Yeah, it's me Mike.
I suddenly don't care if they like me or not.
I'm glad all the randoms in here think I'm an asshole.
That's good, it gives me my strength, it feeds me.

And I guess Dip is a moderator.
I didn't realize you ban people for talking on their community threads, where it doesn't affect everyone.
But now I know. I guess you didn't read my last post, though, where I said my beef in this thread is over.
So I'll say it again so you can read it:
I'm done with the beef in this thread, I won't break your rules,
and I won't reply harshly next time someone implies that I'm an idiot.

If you'd like an apology, "I'm Sorry".

Don't feed the trolls blah blah -- I don't care, I'm bored.

I'm glad all the randoms in here think I'm an asshole.
That's good, it gives me my strength, it feeds me.
Calling people that have been associated with the community for a number of years 'random people' is amazingly myopic. You may or may not know that (and it wouldn't be obvious to someone who just started interacting with it), but coming into someone's house and shitting on their furniture is not a way to get on good terms with them (and you probably know this).

If I see two people slinging the shit around and one of them has been around for several years and has done a fair bit, and one is a complete unknown to everyone in the community to everyone but himself, who do you think I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to?

(Granted I'm looking for as much of a reason to ban Chibi as anyone, but you're doing a really bad job of giving me one.)

By the way, no one ever said anything about your intelligence.

I need to address something with you guys.

No offense but you're shoving more support for UP - they've had verB2 for a while now, and none of us want an outdated version :(.

This is a somewhat pushy reply to someone who was trying to contribute to the community. I actually felt a bit offended by it. If Kid.D didn't reply the way he did, I'd have told you to dial it down a bit.

Flipped out cause I said the word "fuck you" a couple times?
He said what he said like an asshole.
You said it in the way a person who isn't an asshole explains it.
He wouldn't have said it like THAT to a strangers face, cause then there'd be a chance that they would've responded the way I did.

It's about $900 for the machine with version A installed.
It's almost another $1000 to get the vB2 update installation software.

And Master Chibi, I'm going to UP this weekend for the first time.
You can check the place out if you want, but at least this weekend you don't have to force yourself; I'd rather meet all the players I can at once.

And you, sir, shouldn't take things so personally. Please keep the cursing on this board to a minimum. Nobody here really knows you, and you didn't handle his reply very well. I know you had the best of intentions when you posted about Eight on the Break's ver.A, but you come across as someone with no class with replies like that. People can't respect that. Just remember that this is the internet and A)nobody really means disrespect like they would in person, and B) whatever you say here never goes away, so you'll thank yourself later for keeping your cool.

I understand the risks and costs associated with the coin-op business (I'm a manager at an arcade and we only have ver.A too, but we have PCs with ver.B). A location with ver.A is better than no location at all, since it helps to raise awareness of the scene. Also Chibi, there is no need to get elitist with the Happ/Japanese controls when people are eventually looking to get the game at home anyways. That's like being a snob about the plastic baggy that your gram of weed came in.

I don't think people will travel long distances to 8/Break for Melty, but it should drum up some interest, Kid.D. Point them to Melty Bread wiki(thanks Motoh) and forums for advice and strategies, and if you plan on holding tournaments for Melty Blood (use PC ver.B2), that's what'll draw out-of-towners in to show the arcade owner that there's definitely promise for a ver.B2 arcade cabinet.

I've tried running MB tournaments at the Break, the guy doesn't want anything to do with consoles or laptops. In fact he never did. Ask Bell what happened the first time we met, and I'll tell you he's still the same way. I needed someone as gracious as Phi to be the middle ground if I was going to get MB in any form at the Break.

That being said, I, personally don't have a problem with the sticks (lol I play Marvel), but that's because I know of 8otB's tradition of having the nation's shittiest sticks ever, which is why I brought up the issue. I mean, I'm still planning to go on Saturday regardless of what happens, but is it really that elitist when everyone else on the East Coast has that type of set up? I mean go ahead and cut corners, but don't expect people not to put to the side (I'm serious, the Breaks' sticks are god awful).

Regardless of that, it was not my intention to stir up any drama or further it.

Sorry Kid. D.

You know, I said I wasn't gonna reply to you.
But wow, I can't let you just bash the break like that.

Every game other than T5:DR has Perfect 360 Happ Joysticks.
If you do play Marvel, you should know that these are the stick of choice in MASS sticks, and a perfect 2D fighting stick.

But I do appreciate your input, and your personal opinion on some of the nation's best sticks ever.

And MeltyClient is the Win.
The end.

Um sorry guy, but the rest of the fighting community doesn't bother with Mass sticks anymore, so unless you play Marvel it's pretty much a lost cause.

I've been going to the Break for five years or so now and every tournament that they've ever held has had complaints about the sticks, and this includes each and every ECC. The Break is notorious for it, and even at the most recent ECC this was still the case.

So yeah, it's not personal opinion, it's a common known FACT by now. So if the MB community has that to look foward to it then have fun explaining why noone's showing up.

I'm sure the opinions of your friends are dear and true to you, but they are not FACT by any stretch.

Now, I'm not sure how you became the Ambassador of Fighting Games (AFG for short), but I'm sure you don't speak for the rest of the fighting game community.

Which stick and buttons each person uses is a preference.

Some people like HAPP, others like Sanwa, and some even like Seimitsu.
Some champions, like myself, use a combination of Sanwa and Happ
Other champions, like Justin Wong, use all Happ for every game they play (MvC2, 3rd Strike, Arcana Heart, Guilty Gear, T5:DR <--sometimes he switches for DR, but that's not 2D)
And some champions, like LinkRkc, can't live without Sanwa.

Some like square gate, some like octagonal, some like a straight circle.
Some like a red stick, some like a white, some like a blue.
Some like straight buttons, some like angled, and some like weird "the thumb button is really far away from the rest" buttons
Some people even like to use Hori based sticks over Sanwa and Seimitsu (the IDIOTS, GOD!! :p )

As you can see, it's perfectly natural for people to have different preferences about their setups.

But I'm sure the Happ sticks is the reason why there haven't been many new people haven't played the game that has only been there for a week... oh wait, we do play. Sorry, I almost forgot.

Could you please stop throwing around your opinion (and, by proxy, that of your friends) as fact?
I'd appreciate it, thanks.

If you wanna play at Tougeki, they use Sanwa sticks on square gates with angled buttons. And that's all that matters.

And you can keep taking your foot, and placing it into your mouth with every post you make.
Cause I don't remember putting my feelings into that last post, other than appreciation at the end.
*Shrugs* Your intranetz speak does nothing for me.

Eventually, with enough Foot-in-mouth status from you, you'll refrain from complaining about everything and anything.
This beef wasn't even with you, stop bothering me.

[Posterboy Status!! Big time SON!!!!]

Oh, I met LordKnight today at UP!
He's really quiet in person, apologies were presented to the great KiD.D, and were accepted because like I said, people aren't assholes in person. Sometimes. Maybe. On occassion.

But he made sure to rape me for 3 hours in Melty, and I think I understand how offensive the game is now.
Mad Rape Status = LordKnight... for now.
