New Location!!!

8' on the Break
340-346 North Ave
Dunellen, NJ 08812
732.752.8880

I just worked with the owner, and he installed Melty Blood vA.
If people show up and play, I guarantee he will get version B2, which would cost him $800 more dollars.

The break has Happ P360 joysticks and Happ competition buttons on almost every game (Sanwa on Tekken 5: DR).
Games include SF3:3rd Strike, 2 MvC2's, T5:DR, all the newest dance games, Beatmania IIDX 13, and the new Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3!! 4 linked cabinets!

So show some support and come down!

No offense but you're shoving more support for UP - they've had verB2 for a while now, and none of us want an outdated version :(.

Within the last few days, I've gotten a grasp of the differences between vA and vB2, so I can understand.

That being said, no offense, but fuck you and your fucking post, I don't remember trying to pull business away from UP. I love to see arcades thrive.
SO, I'm showing that there's a new location for a game you play, which may be updated to vB2 at any time, he just got the machine a week ago for fuck's sake, and he's just worried about wasting $1000 dollars on a machine that might gain $200 revenue total.

If there are enough NJ players, if I can "convince" him to get vB2, would you guys actually show up?
I wouldn't have a problem running weekly tournies, maybe even RanBats to help things along.

But I can see your point. See how "no offense" makes everything better?

Wow, you're flipping out on a trivial comment made by someone already? Take a chill pill. He merely said an outdated version won't be as popular to us as VB2 would be, seeing as it's the latest, with updated stuff and whatnot, so it's possible people would rather go to UP to play rather than this new arcade you spoke off. Never did he mention you're trying to PULL BUSINESS AWAY FROM IT.

Now then, why did he burn the thousand bucks for a vA machine instead of version B2 then?

I'll talk to a friend about going to the break this weekend Kid.D.

But all I have to see is if that game is on HAPP sticks (I don't care what type of buttons there are) then good luck trying to get people to play.

[All stuff that I obviously understood already, what do you think I am, an idiot?]

Now then, why did he burn the thousand bucks for a vA machine instead of version B2 then?

Flipped out cause I said the word "fuck you" a couple times?
He said what he said like an asshole.
You said it in the way a person who isn't an asshole explains it.
He wouldn't have said it like THAT to a strangers face, cause then there'd be a chance that they would've responded the way I did.

It's about $900 for the machine with version A installed.
It's almost another $1000 to get the vB2 update installation software.

And Master Chibi, I'm going to UP this weekend for the first time.
You can check the place out if you want, but at least this weekend you don't have to force yourself; I'd rather meet all the players I can at once.

More like your reply was asshole-ish. "No offense but fuck you and your fucking post". Way to show respect to potential customers.

^ now THAT's an asshole post. I would have said the EXACT same thing if you were right in front of me. I would show up to Break if it was good and had b2, it's in Jersey, a lot easier to get to than UP for me when I'm home.

Potential customers?
You must be confused on 2 counts.
I'm not an employee of the 8 on the Break. And I don't respect you.
I only help get players out of the goodness of my heart, and out of enjoying competition. And you've done nothing to earn my respect.

How you say things can be just as offensive as just saying "fuck you".
I'm sure you know that, though, since you're so proficient at it
I'm not some e-thug, but I don't take disrespect.

You won't say that line exactly like you did in front of me.
Not because you're afraid, more that 9/10th's of human beings don't talk like that to others when unprovoked.

If you choose not to, then we're cool and have no issues.
I'll see what I can do about getting vB2 there.
For now, nothing else I post will be with you in mind, so you can just ignore the rest of my posts.

I thought saying "No offense" fixed everything...

Wow...I didn't know people in the Melty Blood community were such assholes.
Or maybe it's just people who curse, and act like jerks, and make it look like the Melty Blood community is made up of assholes.

I think it's the second one.

And I think you (Kid with a K) need to learn how to not piss everyone off with your posts.
Good luck on that.

Look Kid. D, there's probably five people total in NJ that would compose the MB scene, myself and Lord Knight being two of said folks.

We really don't have to prove anything to the owner at the Break. LK's been playing for a little over a year, and I've been playing for at least four I believe. You should know that noone will play outdated versions of a game, and that asking PROOF of a community's existence with an outdated version is pretty damn silly. Noone goes to Chinatown Fair to play Double Impact. People didn't head over to Port Authority to play CvS1. If he bought version A, then he should shell out the money and get ver.B and then the free update. TGA went through it, University Pinball went through it, Hammergirl Anime went through it, so um, why shouldn't the Break?

Hell, if he wants proof I could get 15-20 people to show up easy, but noone's coming for ver. A, I assure you of that. I'd much rather take the 12 hour trip to TGA, or the more convient 2 1/2 hour hop, skip, and a jump to UP then to have to prove to the owner that he should buy the newest version. That's a rhetorical question.

Regardless, I will attempt to show up on Saturday. I pray to god he puts Japanese sticks in that cabinet, otherwise that shit is doomed for failure, I promise.

I've gotten the same impression from many people in the MB community(whatever part of it they hail from)

Less interaction with the community and more playing = better gaming IMO

well i the upgrade is free from  ecole isn't it... so it shouldn't be that hard to convince the break owner(forgot the name.. and it's been awhile like last year ECC)....... so it shouldn't have to worry about getting that .... and that's awesome the breaks got it.....
Basically... kind of a big deal....
