Thanks for all the feedback! I'll make sure to let my friend know what should be changed and get a new draft to you guys soon.

I don't exactly know what you mean by tinyurl link to a meltybread thread, but I can try to shorten the message. It's a group effort though, and if you'd like to try your hand at making the actual message, I'd be honored to use it instead.

I personally liked the colored version better.  It seems the floating Akiha head is still there and the guy just randomly added a bunch of different character art.  The faces on Roa and Wara are pretty priceless  :laffo:.  The text is much better than the previous one but I still think it should have a background in order for it to be easier on the eyes.

Printing it in color would cost a bit of money to make constant copies. Black and white is atleast readible. We tried it the border, but it was difficult to make it look neat on the page and awkward. I can't honestly say I have complete control as I'm asking a good friend to help, but we're continuing to do our best. All feedback is appreciated and we do consider it.

I think you are trying to cram too much stuff into the poster...  the text is still not pleasant to read

really you have like too many characters in that poster and they are just there randomly

another problem with your poster is that it's not actually announcing a session it's just announcing a movement

which means people will have to contact you or visit meltybread to even find out when anything is actually going to happen

you want to make this as easy as possible for them to randomly show up

excuse my double post. here are some example posters we've had for nci.

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/4489/norcalinstallfinal.jpg
http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6971/norcalinstall2flier.jpg

they aren't spectacular or anything but notice how the information is compressed and how everything you read is probably something you might find valuable to know

a movement is cool and all but you know that stuff can come later

don't try to force your movement on them or anything right now

all you need to do is tell people you want to play melty blood

exactly when and where is it going to happen

and newbies are welcome

I wanted to make a generic flyer. I deliberately avoided posting up date because the date could change; nothing is certain as I try to figure out the best times and days. I think from how it's written; I'm not cramming commitment down their throat. In two sentences, I stated what we're doing and that we want you to play with us and be a part of that. The cramming of characters was an idea to get people to see more of the cast without looking redundant with alternate egos and the like. I agree I didn't accomplish all that, but it's a work in progress.

I checked out those posters and I really like them. They look really good and natural. If you feel how I've written it is not good, I am more than welcome to accept any direct text you feel I should include. Like a direct quote would be a great deal of help to me so I can fully understand what you feel I should write.

yeah i can tell what you are trying to do just by looking and admittedly its just actually pretty hard to execute well

your second poster is a lot less wordy so its less of an issue here

i also didnt even know you guys had more sessions planned out cause it wasnt posted in a recent post, just edited into the original post

in terms of character choice, nero and ciel are pretty popular picks so maybe you should think of putting them in.

roa isnt portrayed very well here, warc seems redundant, archetype earth isnt even playable, tohno+nanaya is redundant

the real issue is ITS HARD TO READ

another problem i just thought of is that if you look at this poster and dont even know what melty blood is, you wont know what kind of game it is either
