Fellow Rutgers King$, Knight$, Pleabians, and all those interested in playing! We will now be using this thread as a means to communicate with each other, instead of talking awkwardly through a few PM's and texts.
Considering our scene is actually building, I thought this thread was long overdue for a while, but have been hit too hard by midterms up until now to bother. Let's play some Melty, everyone!
P.S.: For those who do not know, we have 3 hour sessions weekly at the UGS thursday sessions 9pm-12am at room 116B in the Busch Campus Center. Come on by if you're interested in the game and playing with us!

Visitor's parking is free from 8am-2pm, but if you left your car in the lot overnight I really doubt you'd get ticketed. Also, since the parking tickets at Rutgers aren't even official, you can just completely disregard them and shred them up. You just run the risk of stacking far too many violations and having them tow your car. [Though I've never actually heard of a case of this happening]

sad news, my ps2 when unearthed from my basement was found to be dead. Its untimely demise has caused anger, sadness, and confusion, but most of all disappointed that i can't ditch the fucking emulator.

Of course lol... The standard meetings are on thursdays, but that's me trying to recruit players more than anything to be honest. The real grinding should be done on weekends. I'll probably ask my friends if we can borrow one of the Quad's lounges for a day over the weekend or something, and can definitely get a small thing running on a saturday or something going if the interest level is high enough

Thursday is the best day to to this, I'm betting. Friday and the weekend I'm heading down the Ehrik's , and before that we're all in finals.
We might even be able to assemble the whole 'Rokrew' for a final get together at your place if that's okay by your room-mates and etc, since we definitely have enough setups for it.

Okay, so it turns out my roommate who owns the PS2 is leaving tonight and will most likely take it with him. I can't guarantee that I can have the PS2 here tomorrow, so someone else has to bring the PS2 setup. We will still have a TV available, so that won't be a problem.
Also, this can be later in the day, at earliest 5 o clock, since it seems like people (including myself) will have stuff to do before then.
EDIT: Apparently we might be able to have the PS2 here tomorrow after all... still, someone else bring a setup just in case.

I was there, I was playing archetype earth and talking shit about roku. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who I was off that.

I was the Ciel that played for like an hour or two on Saturday. I had my setup on Sunday but they got rid of all the tables and I heard they were removing any non-tourney setups from the rooms, plus I had to leave really early.

after watching top 8 for AE and marvel and losing my voice, I played some casuals in AE. Managed to play Chris in Melty for a bit too. Don't know why some people were told that casuals were going to end at 2:30, since I managed to play some games until I left around 6:30.
On another note, would people be down to run sessions on Fridays? Maybe not EVERY Friday but maybe the first and third Friday of each month. The last session in the quads was pretty fun and I liked the room too.

I actually came up with a fairly fun idea not too long ago for anyone in the Rokrew. Since you're all looking for ways to level up your game, I was thinking maybe a weekly Rokunaya netplay Kumite where afterwards I tell you where you should fix up certain parts of your game, with viewers on the side who hopefully can spot advice as well. How do you guys feel about this idea? I want to do it tonight if possible since I have quite a bit of time on my hands. 8pm EST sound good?
Edit: For anyone that doesn't know what a Kumite is, I just pretty much sit down and play everyone and see how long I can last without losing lol. Or I can just make it a ft2/3 for everyone, it doesn't really matter, just something to get us together and involved.

Every thursday night from roughly 4pm to 11pm they're some people that gather up together and have fun, and push buttons since most of our friday classes are either free or non existant... if you're interested drop by Rutgers Busch Campus Center or hit me up.
Also Rutgers guys play during the weekend alot, I might do a quick thing at my place but due to last weekend's slapped together snowballed event I'll be staying in more for a couple of weeks. This weekend looks okay, but the weeks from now are definitely bad.

Ok so the next major The Northeast has coming up is NEC XIV & usually around this time The Secret Society trains up to be in the best possible shape & have been doing this for more than three years now. Since I myself & most of us lead busy life thus making it difficult to meet up, I am going to propose an idea inspire by what I went through playing Melty Blood Acrtress Again on the days when it was on PS2 only. FROM THE WEEKEND STARTING October 18-20, there will be a session ONE of the weekend days (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) to sit, play, critique, and to enjoy the game UNLESS there is some event or other plans take that much priority. ANYONE is welcome as long as they know how to conduct themselves & behave. IF you display signs of behavior that is out of place and disrespect that is uncalled for, you will be asked politely to leave then otherwise things will get "messy." So as I said ANYONE is welcome, BUT if you wish to partake LET ME KNOW because I will NOT go out of my way to help YOU out, everyone needs to be responsible for themselves & learn how to manage their own time/schedules. Hope to see people show up looking to seriously improve themselves & take themselves to another level.
