GGs at Super & Martee's place.
Dipswitch 3S was a lot more fun that I thought it'd be. It has a totally diffrent metagame of it's own lol.
The lag on the viewlix was okay. I can play F-akiha on it but I don't think I can play c-arc on it.  :(
We should convince Watson to take out SSF4AE out of the Versuscity cab and put Melty in there. Everybody plays it on the console setups anyways.  :P

Probably 0% chance of convincing him though. :nyoro:

Thanks Numa for sharing your B-day gift with all of us!

Whoops, didn't notice that part. I wouldn't mind Melty being on the Net city. I don't mind being smooshed in there as long as there's no lag.

The SSF4AE cabinets are on Atomiswave cabinets. They're really weird because the i/o board on it wasnt made to run anything other than 5-button Atomiswave stuff. But the monitor is VERY nice, better than the Net City. SSF4 however REQUIRES a head-to-head configuration, each cab only supports 1-player and it does matchmaking via ethernet. On a seperate note, SSF4 is out of commision because one of the atomiswave cabs has a problem dissapating heat, and it killed one of the ssf4 videocards.

The Net City is pretty much the BEST cabinet in terms of compatibility. It'll run any arcade board you throw at it, SD and HD. Problem is, its currently on is a 3-button 1-player panel. It'll require 2-player panel with 6-button each, from any SEGA Astro City, Blast City, or Net City.

Right, and the panels are like $80 each? I wouldn't mind chipping in a few $s if it means moving Melty to a non-laggy cab.

Just a reminder. I'll be at Japan Arcade to record off the Melty Cab tonight

Gonna set up @ 8p
Starting @ 9p

Feeling either Swiss or the classic Double Elim

Another note, feeling that calling this Melty JA is... kinda fitting... put a gif of Hisui doing jA on the stream... or make a poster of a montage of charas doin jA... so bad. XD

Melty plans this week.

Thursday: I'll be at Super for TRB. Gonna enter GG. Dunno about BB yet. I'll see if I can trick more ppl to play Melty.
Friday: I'll be at super again, this time to scope out how things look on Fridays.

I'll need to invest in a VGA splitter before I am willing to run Melty events at super.

Saturday... Still not sure...

Here is what I have upcoming.

Thursday (10/31): TRB @ Super Arcade. This is mainly for BB and GG, but I'll play MB as well.
Friday (11/1): j.A @ Japan Arcade.
Saturday (11/02): Super Rebel Up @ Japan Arcade. Again, mainly a BB and GG event. I might run a side thing that day on the cab.
Thursday (11/07): TRB @ Super Arcade.
Friday (11/08): Arc Drive (working title). @ Super Arcade. My preliminary run at doing a MB event at super.  Hope to have the sticks and VGA splitter to record by then.

I'm not even sure that game even available for sale outside of Japan. It's an all.net game so I figure you would need network access rights just for the game to run in the first place. Kind of like how Nesica cabinets are or current Bemani games forcing e-amuse (oh wait  :V ).
Worst Nanaya and second worst Ryougi player in the USA

All.net+multi is the equivalent of Nesica, from what i understand the game supports payments through it, but i'm hoping that the game can just run without a network like SSF4 does, and like MBAACC does.

Typically, the only reason to really go online is just to get patches. And hopefully, we can just piggyback off of R1's All.net servers every now and then to get a patch, since they have an actual Japanese all.net server located in the US for Project Diva.

From my limited research online (and no ability to read jp), I was unable to find a concrete pricetag or specs of the board itself.  Guess the board is too new?

Here. Have some reading material.

Upcoming events:

Thurs, Nov 7: TRB @ Super Arcade. I'm gonna try to run a small melty event on the Melty cab with whoever is interested. Prolly a round robin.  Also, Guilty Gear.

Friday, Nov. 8: j.A @ Japan Arcade. Anything goes really. I'll run something as usual.

Thurs, Nov. 14: TRB @ Super Arcade again. Gonna try to run something again.

Sat, Nov 16: Rebel Up @ Super Arcade. Primarily a Arksys event. I hope the Cab is record ready by then so I can stream melty. Also considering doing another game as well... or 2... Depends on the support.
