K.C.'s Lion's Den, as it's called, is a game room on ODU's campus. It's fine for a small group of people if that's what you're talking about. It isn't a very ideal place for large groups though. Most of the room is taken up by pool tables, and there are generally already a lot of people there playing pool and taking up a lot of space. Not to mention that since it's a public room for students, there's no knowing when other people will already be using the TVs or if some fraternity has it reserved it for an event. I guess I could ask, but since it's run like a business I doubt we could get some guaranteed time and space without paying a lot of money.
There is actually also the Powhatan Community Room, which is the community room for my dorm/apartment (I live in an on-campus apartment). It's very large and spacious and has some very comfy sofas. It actually would be pretty great for gatherings, but again there is the possible schedule conflicts since the resident assistants regularly hold events no one actually goes to. The other concerns are: 1) Only one HDTV and I don't know how much it lags, 2) Don't know if it's okay to bring our own TVs, or if there is even plug space for that, and 3) There was another concern but I forget what it was. If you don't mind actually playing there I can always inquire with the office and find out about these things, and they are probably more lenient than the Lion's Den. If they don't bother you in the first place, then that's great too. Otherwise, there is also my apartment too if the group isn't too big I wouldn't mind having you guys over anytime.
Or we can always just meet at someone else's place if that's a lot less trouble, but I'd need a little forward notice so I can arrange a ride with my friend.
Edit: Checked with the office and they said they usually post when events are being held on a bulletin board so I can double check those, and no events are ever held on weekends so the community room is free (as long as no one claims it before us, anyway). There is also a decent amount of plugs (about 3 sets of 2-plug sockets on the main wall), so we could do okay if you wanted to bring a small TV or two and extra systems. I just remembered this is the melty blood community we're talking about here, so I doubt we'd need a lot of room or TVs anyway.
Well hell, if you guys want to do this then let's get some Melty going on! (And other stuff too if you want).
