Okay, so I know that Thanksgiving is this week, but Pat and I are going to be back in Denton on Saturday. So If anyone wants to play some MB this weekend, come on up to Denton. Normal time, 3pm ish.

Edit: And I'm going to get some pads from my mom's while I'm there, so we should not have a problem like that again...

Lol! The weekend? Seriously though, we do play just about every weekend though. Well, most weekends. Wait! Do you work weekends?

I do know that me and pfhor are going to go to NEC the 1st weekend of December though, so prolly not hosting that weekend.

I can't play arc with a dpad, 63214...7? I might still try her out, I'm also trying c-seifuku. Can't air 214a for nothing.

Prolly wont be another one until after the break, or at least I wont go to or plan any more until I get back from Ohio after New Years.

Happy Holidays guys! :D

We are back in Denton now.

I think that we are going to host a Melty meet-up in Denton this weekend. I'm not sure on the day yet, but I'll decide soon. It would start around 3pm central time.

I'll have at least some kind of stream going, though it may not be quite what I have in mind for the future.

And for anyone that wants to participate, I think I'm try and incorporate net-play into our meet-ups.
I think my plan for that is, I'm be logged into IRC and have the stream chat open on my laptop, while we stream and play from my beast desktop. Though, I'm not sure how the stream and net-play will interact with each other. Offline is just fine, but we will see. That prolly means that ima have to actually update to 1.4 rev... :bricks:

Cool, if I'm around the house this weekend I'll be sure to check it out. In case you didn't know, there is a way to access the stream channel through IRC. And I never had the chance to test it, but they tell me a good way to stream is to use Dxtory + Xsplit.

Do you mean that there is a public stream account that I could use on IRC? Also, I'm using OBS.
I'm using OBS because XSplit is not free and therefore bad, and FFsplit is bad.

What does Dxtroy do?

Those stream chats on twitch's page are actually on their IRC network, so you can access them through IRC as long as you have the channel's password. You can find on google how to do it, but the only real difference is that you don't have to open a browser to check the stream chat, may not be worth the trouble in your case.

Dxtory captures the game screen and outputs into a virtual camera that you catch with xsplit, supposedly it's lighter and more practical than using any of xsplit's capture functions.

Xsplit doesnt have a free version anymore? D= That sux. Never heard of OBS before, is it any good?

Oh, I should be back from my trip by then, I'll be sure to watch it.

Not sure if I need the software I have any lighter right now. But I'll keep it in mind if I do need it later.

XSplit is free on the pirate bay... but I'm not sure it was ever free from their web site. They have a trail version that is free that has like shit for functionality.
I mean seriously, how am I suppose to trial some software when I cant get it to do what I need? :mystery:
They should have the trial be fully functional, and limit stream time instead...
I don't even want to pirate software, when the official one does that crap.
OBS=Open Broadcaster Software. I think it's good. I get no frame drops. But I'm not sure how much anyone should trust my opinion of streaming software...

So this can't happen. The meet-up and stream will still happen, but doing net play while streaming results in one of two things. Either the stream will look like shit and drop all the frames and we have net-play, or the stream looks great and net play is unplayable b/c of increased delay. Both of these things are unacceptable to me. So, there just wont be net play stuff on the stream. Sry to anyone that actually wanted to do this.
