I would probably mess with them all, depending on the opponent, but I do like H and especially C Ries...
There are a couple C-Ries vids on nico, but they are short, part of much longer vids and lack mixups or even victories lol.

Yeahh, I know what you mean. F-Ries seems to get all the attention, and she looks BOOOOORING. (In my opinion, of course.) I wish some good H/C Ries players would come out, but there isn't much point seeing as the game is out in less than a month anyways.

Hm, F isn't really boring to me, just not me style. But what Psy just posted did show some pretty sweet F-Ries rushdowns.
I wish there where more because the vids usually give a good bit of in site for making my own mixups and solidifying runsdowns and zoning and what not.

I knew F-Ries could get some Akatsuki style corpse cross-ups but I was not sure of how could it would be. He make it look really good though.

Her pressure is really awesome, but I'm not comfortable doing it, especially if I can get away with just...playing like I am there. My opponent turned on the heat (literally?) in the second set of matches and I didn't know how to deal with the Akiha stuff. We don't all play very much, and this is really my first MB game. Any tips/matchup advice besides "rush moar" would be appreciated.

When I watched your match I saw you doing 2B a lot, I had the same problem when I started, you gotta force yourself not to do that move until you get comfortable with muscle memory. Use the move for the clash frames overhead and DP, or when people are right at your head, then you can go into JC-JC- (J6C or grab). For being a really heavy looking and sluggish character, she has the ability to move fast.

Pretty new to Ries and AA in general and I just started getting up to speed in the game now that I have a "scene" (2-3 people; wooo) and I play C-Ries. We had some casuals the other day and my friend just picked up H-Nanaya and getting used to C-Wara.

I just discovered from Benny1 that I could stand to improve my combos now that know of super double jump so I'll drill that tommorow; just like to show u guys what I'm working with if that's alright and comments and criticism would be appreciated.

Hey there, glad to see someone picking up C-Ries, I could tell you a couple things:
1: No more of that condensed BNB (~5B 2C 5C - Air).
Use ~5B 5C 2C 214A/236A -> Air. You are getting into the habit of using 214C when you have meter... thats good, keep that up.
2: C-Ries has a guard cancel that you can make use of, check the wiki for details.
3: Stay in on the opponent more, one of Ries' strengths is blockstings.
4: I saw you zoning with 214A a couple times... 214B is really good for that and would have scored you some damage/okizeme in exchange of the times you used 214A.

I usually do what is fit for my distance and/or the type of person that I am playing against by I could give you a few basic starters.
2A 5B 5C 6C 214B
:: This is just something basic into an ender that would make space between you an the opponent. You could just do another 214B after to attempt to catch jump/mash outs.
2A 5B 5C 2C BE236A/B -
:: This is almost the opposite of the last one, it will put you right next to the opponent. BE236s are like 0/-1 on block so you'd have time to jump or restart pressure if the opponent allows for it. If you jump, and the opponent stays blocking, you could do something like:
JC JB (jc) [deep] JC j66 JB -
:: If you get in then you can combo, if you don't, you can continue your pressure.
After you start getting the feel for it, then you can work on reverse beats and added other charge mores, BE5B and BE6B in particular. Those will move you in and have really good hitboxes. For example:

About the tourney matches, I clearly wasn't at my best I think; I fucked up on some cross-ups and corner set-ups and I couldn't seem to get off my shield counter move. I think I was nervous; I need to learn to perform at the same level of comfort I do in casuals in a more serious environment. :V
