C-S.Akiha 1.07: The Combo, The Oki, The Mixup!
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:18:36 PM »
Hi guys! Thought we could use an updated version for C-S.Akiha. Let's discuss mixups from 22[C], possible blockstrings, etc...

22C ender is pretty standard, but if you don't have the meter and are in the corner, do 22A. For just out of the corner, 22B etc..... here are some oki/mixups/combos from that;

22C (hits) j.C dj.[C] j.A(whiff) j.214A land tk.214A 9C land j.BC dj.[C] Oki
- Decent damage. Resets into the oki. You can alter the combo based on the height of the enemy.

Enemy in corner: Command Throw (pillars auto-activate) slight delay j.BC 8[C] j.A(whiff) xxxx etc....
- This combo should put the opponent right back into the corner after a command throw. Does good damage and is pretty useful. If there are no pillars, just do 2AB 5B 6B 5C 2C 6C 214A bnb. Carries corner to corner after a command throw. Very good.

Using j.[C] seems to be a decent move to use to start mixup, but needs more testing.

tk.214 series is good for zoning, as you can jump cancel it on command to hit confirm into combos or to block if the enemy jumps in on you.

More to come.

I guess I could post this here...

I haven't really experimented around too much with S.Akiha, but I found a meterless combo that works anywhere that does more than the one posted on the Mizuumi wiki page, that ends with a j.[C] for oki:

5B 2B 6B 6C 2C 5C 214A j.b j.c dj j.[C]; 3782 damage on tohno shiki (the one on mizuumi only does 3391)

So yea... There is probably an even more damaging version possible, I've only played around with her for a few hours.

Standard combo has been like 5B 2B 6B 5C 2C 6C 214A j.BC dj.[C]A 214A (land) 5C j.BC dj.[C] 22A 22[A] for a while now. Does like 3K off grab too iirc.

Eh.

Also, you can fuzzy with IAD j.C dj.C (small delay) AB (land) 5B -> stuff. It's pretty good.
Off 5[C], which is her only actual ground overhead, do 2C tk.214A/B (A for corner, B for midscreen) dj.66[C]AAB (land) j.BC dj.[C] 22A 22[A]

In these combos, the 22A 22[A] isn't supposed to actually combo right? It's just for oki?

Things not noted in here that I've noticed and are overall useful:

Pressing D ontop of your pits [22x] sets them off.

6321[4] C very slight delay on C, useful oki, blocks mid 2A's, blocks dps, loses to low 2A's and jumps

tk 214A i.ad jc with proper spacing [corner for example] is forced blockstun

A > D reverse beats [?]

She can still OS moderate speed heats, the OS is 2A 5A 5B+D

I'll write stuff up, but I haven't labbed her enough yet. She's a very fun and interesting character.

This fuzzy doesn't work, since for a fuzzy you need the followups after the normal to hit crouchers. In this case, the second jc hits high, but there's no way to hit a crouching opponent afterwards, even with ja or jb. If there is, it simply is too hard. You CAN do this with pits, though....

Thought I tested it against a crouching enemy with it. I'll try to retest it later on.

So what do you guys do when the enemy disrespects your pit and attempts to jump out? Obviously they get hit, but it launches them up so far I can't get a combo in. Best I can do is hit an air normal or two, but additional hits from the pillar (when I ignited with 22[C]) prevent me from running the standard aircombo into j[C].

Time your pillars to be meaty. They shouldn't be able to jump, and if they do they are caught on jump startup and the pillar hits as if they were just standing, so the standard airstring into OTG relaunch into oki reset. Just practice having the pillar hit meaty. ^_^ and be prepared to react to a possible pillar hit so you can confirm.

Still ends up as about 5k against Kouma. Better than a basic at least.

It's not bad. If you've got the meter to spare, might as well do it. She build 115+ meter for a bnb, anyway.

Make your own frame traps. Just go from normal to normal. Which normals? Any of them. :v You have 8 level 2+ normals, so just do whatever and it'll still work. From most ranges 214 and 236 can work as frame traps too.

Like after a j.[C]? Whiff j.A j.214A TK214A dj9.C land j.BC dj.[C] is what I usually see

8 level 2+ normals? and do you know where the framedata is? i think that would help me a lot on making my own frame traps.
sorry for my ignorance
also i think that doing jc 5a is a good mixup since i can also do jcb 5a but if there are any better could you tell me?
also when should i do TK214a in a blockstring? i don't want the opponent to be able to mash out or escape.
sorry for asking so many questions  :(

Level 2+ normals (mainly B and C for other characters) have longer blockstun and must be shielded correctly. Like you can shield HWara 2A crouching or standing, but CSei 2A, you must shield low.

Frames are here.

発生 is startup, 持続 is active, 威力 is damage (yellow(red)), ゲージ is meter gain, 硬直さ is advantage on block, 上書き is proration, and 下段 is low, 上段 is mid, and 中段 is high (lol 2D vs 3D notation).

Hey everyone, new to this game, and only had one choice of character, seifuku akiha ( tsundere and school uniform, i think yes ). I have been reading guides on fighting games, and watching some of the tutorial videos from Rokunaya, and he was talking about reversals. He kept it pretty general since he was just showing examples with Shiki. I assume SAkiha's only reversals are back dashing and her going into heat  :nyoro: since it doesn't appear she has any form of dp.

Once again, sorry for the dumb questions, just figured I'd rather look like an idiot now to know for sure, to win later :P

I don't know anything about this moon, but it's general knowledge that her 623C is one of the cutest better DPs in this game, and can beat out almost every reversal in this game save a few. Costs meter though. A and B version don't have the invul nor the cute tsundere phrase.

623C is one of the most invulnerable dps, but it's vulnerable to normal throws. So if someone reads that you're doing a 623C, they can do something like 2A 6E 2A option select as oki and throw you if you 623C (2A whiff, forward throw) or frame trap (2A 5A 2A) if you don't. Probably. Haven't checked if it works, but I'd think it would.

EDIT: Works. :v

You can also do meaty 2a and shield it on reaction to superflash for a better punish than throw.
