Was mad fun, wanted to stay later so I could get more casuals in, but that wasn't an option, oh well.
Highlight of the night was definitely beno nearly taking out HeartNana in teams, oh well. If any of you will be in the tourney at Anime Central later, I'll be there, and I'll actually have some execution, so I'm looking forwards to that. Was nice meeting all of you though!

Told you I would get knocked out by Heartnana and Sp00ky. I can't really complain since they both made it to grand finals. If you think about it that way, I got third place. :teach:
Too much pressure in a couple of those fights, so I ended up resorting to panic heat-escaping towards the end. Still, I learned a lot (things like 'expect a third of the entrants to play H-Vsion'). It was definitely worth the price of admission. I apologize for any social awkwardness that may have ensued; I don't get out as often as I should.

First off, I want to thank every single person who came out and entered our first Melty Blood major. I had an awesome time and it was fun meeting and playing a bunch of new people.
Rob - Thanks for teaming with me in the 2v2. It sucks that we couldn't pull through at the end but just going 1 match is really hard. I was really happy how we did, going through the whole thing not losing a match until the finals. Grats on winning singles. Sp00ky was tough and even though it was good to see you win, he was playing super sharp all day and I thought he was gonna pull through, but you definately wore him out at the end. Awesome job.
Sp00ky - I can't thank you enough for coming out and bringing class to our small scene. It was nice being able to talk with you briefly and hopefully you were able to help out everyone just as much. It sucked I didn't get to play any casuals with you while you were in town because I think you could have given me the kind of advice I need to improve but you were really busy helping out with the tournament, so maybe next time. I really wanted you to win singles since you traveled so far out here to play us, you definately deserved it. Good luck at future tournaments.
Orka - Grats on winning 2v2. You almost beat me in the team tournament. Hope to see you at the next one. Also, thanks so much for the pratice over the past few months since the game came out.
Meta - Nice job placing 4th in singles. Even though you haven't played very long I knew you would do well. Let me know when you are in town again and we can meet up for some games.
Sugar Bullet - You had my number in our tournament match. I really had no clue what to do, so much that I forgot what I needed to do to win. GGs and see you at the next big event.
Capps - GG when I got a chance to play you at Dead's and great job running the tournament.
Magnus - Nice job getting into the top 8. You played pretty well against sp00ky. Hopefully I'll see you at the next tournament
TP - Also nice job in getting top 5. Your H-V is getting very good. You have what it takes to win a tournament, and I know you know this. I'll see you at the next tournament.

Dropped nothing, ended rounds with ~290% meter without you paying enough attention to stop it, perfect, etc.
Also, welcome to tripling the roster with moon styles and the rock-wall counters that result. I am a scrub automatically by definition for playing a character with hard counters, and that's fine.
Congratulations for being smart enough to play a character that doesn't have to deal with that BS from the start.
You're a great player, but so are other people. Melty just bugs me whenever I play it, and i'm sorry for bothering you with my bullshit. Peace.

That didn't happen cause you lost before you were able to reach me in the brackets. So obviously you didn't match me. You got to play our team in the team tourney tho, and lost to my partner, so if you couldn't beat Syxx to play me for the decision making match, then that's your own fault.
If you wanted to play, you should have said something and put money down. I would have totally played a $20 money match against you.

I tried to have casuals up and running whenever there was time, but when it was tourney time I wanted those stations back, and I'm glad no one complained. ^_^ I had a ton of fun at this tourney!!

[[Note, this is just a comment, I'm not actually bothered.]] In the past a comment like this would have bothered me, and let me tell you why.. Mainly, its sort of like I go out of my way to run the tourney and record vids and put them all up just days after the tourney, and somehow that's not good enough. As in, I somehow /should've/ recorded your random 1st or 2nd round match and put that up, and you only mention it b/c you won.

I guess making a double H-V.Sion team was smart, but it's not like either player changed the char they played just for the team tourney. Also, I don't know why anyone would assume that same chars on a team would not be allowed. And if anyone did, they blatantly did not read the rules that were posted way before the tourney.
* Players are free to select any tournament-legal character and mode they wish at any time, regardless of what their partner is using.
