Very good turnout considering the weather situation in the area. Also it was something else seeing so many top players getting put into losers early on. Really liking how some of the lesser names in Melty were stepping it up. Especially good looks to Slowpoke, Zidane, and Coma (even though those of us at home never got to actually see him play...we couldn't even hear his interview ). Also pleasantly surprised to see LI Joe in the tourney. His super basic H-Nero shows some some promise..here's hoping he keeps playing and develops it.
Did anybody play Ries at all in this tourney? Her absence was pretty conspicuous on stream, considering there was a pretty diverse selection of characters used.

Great job on getting 2nd, Fox. Nice to see some new blood in the top 4. Thanks to Hal for doing all the equipment and everyone who donated so we could make WB happen. Congrats to LK, I guess...

Here's the poverty-ass side team tournament results, sorry we had no stream, had to run it in the rooms since we had too little time on the floor. Overall the whole thing was pretty lulzy, since we were all beat and didn't even start until 12:30am. Rules were 2v2, 1$ Entry, Single Elim, Random Teams. We had an odd amount of people, and Hal's a chump, so we actually had a couple bye's and two teams that consisted of one member. Anyway, here's the results. Made the team names myself based on what happened since we didn't actually have time for people to pick team names. 1. <winning team name here> - Zar & Komidol (18.00$) 2. Team Gonna Invincible Arc Drive through other Arc Drives - Ehrik & Jiyuna 3. Team we-refuse-to-acknowledge-this-as-a-tournament - GenericSuperHero & LordPangTong 3. Team Leader & Secretary - LegendaryBlueShirt & Lain 5. Team LordKnight and some random - LK & BBS01 5. Team Nearly-Disqualified-and-payed-double-entry - HyperHal & HyperHal 9. Team Victim of Single Elimination 1 - Great Knight & Coma 9. Team Victim of Single Elimination 2 - Rei & Zero 9. Team Victim of Single Elimination 3 - Sp00ky & Duke 9. Team Victim of Single Elimination 4 - Phauxe & HBRD 10. Poor Soul who was refunded money because Hal was a dick and wouldn't team with him. - Riceman & Riceman To explain the last entry, Hal was a dick and wanted to enter by himself, so we had him and Riceman play each other to see who would enter as a single team-member team. It was pretty backwards, so we made Hal pay double and gave Riceman his dollar back. It all worked out in the end. Sp00ky slept through mostly the whole thing.

Well I know Curbeh and Chaser weren't there which is an absence of her. No clue if anyone else plays her :/

So let me tell you guys a story about GenericSuperHero...
He came into our hotel room, drunk as shit, looking for games. Plays like Zar or someone for an hour, and he's like, "Shit Komidol, I see you at every tournament, but never play you, Letssplay!" So, I'm like "alright GenericSu". He accepts saying something like, "Okay, aokay, okay. But I can't see the screnenn very well, can I get a partner to see...how much meter and health I have>?" I tell him it's fine and we should FT5. Generic get's Zero and Ehrik to tell him his health and magic circuit, but, Of course, as drunk as he was, he didn't win. We had to tell him he didn't win, because he wasn't sure if he won or lost after every round. Along the lines of... "DIDI WIN?"...and a "No, Generic."
At the end of the rounds, Generic opens his wallet and says "Alright, I know I lost fairandSQUARE. How much money was that money match for?"
Everyone manages to stifle their laughter and I say, "It was 5$, generic." Even though we didn't money match, of course.
Generic, drunk as shit says something like - "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! LET ME DOUBLE UP! I owe you 10 so, if you win you get 20 and if you lose you go even." I'm like, okay Generic, I'll double up."
At this point, Lord Knight, Great Knight and LPT are telling Generic their ready to go. Generic goes "FUCKFUCK SHUT UP, GIVE ME 10 SECONDS!"
Everyone goes silent. He stares at the cieling for 10seconds. LK says, "okay you ready to go?" Generic says, sipping some more alcohol from a bottle in his jacket "Shut up, I gotta win this money match!, I might actually lose money." So, LK just leaves as we play. Somehow, Generic manages to focus through his drunkeness and runs some F-Nero mixups I've never seen and takes the win, saying "DIDI WIN! I FUCKING WON!" I convince him he won 5$ more on a bonus round for getting a perfect or something, and give him the money just for the mad amount of laughter I've had from this whole ordeal.
Generic gets his money and says "Man Komidol, all that sidebetting and this shit. You tried to take advantage of me while I'm drunk, that's actually pretty fucked man, you're a money shark aren't you?"
So everyone totally LOSES it at this point. Generic doesn't notice and stands up asking "Where the fuck is LK, tell him I'm ready to go." Of course, LK has been gone for like 30 minutes. We tell him that he told them about a dozen times they were leaving, but Generic gets pissed and calls all of them, "YOU GUYS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE MY GOOD FRIENDS" and "WHAT THE FUCK JUST LEAVING ME HERE"
Eventually Generic gives up and gives me my 5$ back, a small rent for passing out on the floor in the hotel room.

My shout outs go to just about everyone, for everything. Every single one of you, cool as hell. Only Riceman got that baller title though.

I placed a bit better this time. I definitely need more experience, anti-blockstring mostly. The good thing is I can only get better.
Various shoutouts:
Zar: Thanks for wiping the floor with me, I'll try to give you better matches next time.
Same goes to Chibi and Lain.
Komidol: Good to see you again. I'm looking forward to facing your F-kohaku next time we meet.
Still working on getting that stick(Can I really call it a stick? It doesn't have one) made. I'm hoping to get the parts for it collected before summer.
