I'm assuming you didn't list fourth because Chibi got fourth.(I have no idea what the results are)

Zar needs to be banned from tournaments.  +6 on whiff is cheap.

I think I got 4th.

I don't know.

I'm losing to a new 'gimmick' every time.

Full rant to come soon.

Ok, Saiyd and myself had a good long chat on the bus ride back (thank you traffic ._.) and we've more or less decided that we're probably (99% sure) not going to return to TGA. There's too much stress just getting there, and then Saiyd and myself have to go through the fact that we're STILL not used to the speed of the arcade version (in reality the amount of time we've spent playing at TGA doesn't even add up to an entire day, where as you 'local' folk have gotten far, far more then that under your belts)? The hitstop is very much different, Saiyd (of all people) can't do Aoko's BnB, it took me three trips to TGA just to do Hisui's. Shit's just a headache. Zar was getting angry at you for a reason KDJ, you were pulling some stupid shit that he would have fucked you over for real good on the PS2, but his confidence is half that at TGA (hell, the first time we went he was worried he wasn't even going to place).

Ugh.

The real kicker was the fact that people STILL talk shit about the game, disrespect it (while they're standing right next to us AS WE'RE FUCKING PLAYING), walk infront of people taping the game, and the numbers have just dwindled down to the point where it's obvious that noone at TGA gives a fuck for the game, and that Saiyd and myself have to bust our ass, make someone go out of their way to pick us up, house us, and that things will pretty much not change anytime soon. The cabinet would be getting so much more love in NYC, I'm sure the scene would have doubled even. At the very least, it'd be amongst people who could appreciate the game with an open mind to bother playing it at all.

With the PC version coming out this week, even if the port is half way decent, it'll more or less be enough for us not to visit TGA again.

No hate to TGA as venue, nor Andy for ever being gracious enough to buy the game in the first place, or Dipstick going as far as he has to push it, or those few folks who have been playing with us from day one, but enough is enough.

-------------------

Dippy, sorry for being emo and walking out, I was just really frustrated and obviously couldn't handle it so I went to go bang shit on PoPn for a bit. Going from eating 9 overheads to a turtley match against you just fucked with my head good. I'm immensley grateful for the housing and transportation.

Chibi I think you should not give up on this game because of what people say they have the right to say it espically since you said to me that I don't give a shit about the game which I proved to everyone that I care about the game. Look at the smash community and how much shit they get but people still played and played because they loved the game and now you really can't go to any major tourney without smash even being there I mean no one expected it to be at EVO and the turn out was huge. As for you losing think of it as a learning experience and if you and zar are not going to show up because of some things are different from the ps2 version then I lose respect for the both of you and it also shows that the people who are talking all that shit just won that the game is garbage and it should never be played. That is all I have to say because I am at work so I hope you guys show up and stop making excuses.

This is tough love from spic tom AKA king dooky

Ok, first off:

1. Saiyd and myself are not backing out because we can't handle the differences between the PS2 and arcade version. That adds to our frustration, yes, but nowhere near enough to warrant us never returning.

2. We've never given up on the game. I myself have been playing it for three to four years now, I dont' see why I would just kick it to the side and call it a day.

3. I don't appreciate having to deal with a bunch of fucking children who can't keep their mouth shut when I'm enjoying myself, or like to make smarmy remarks about the game like I didn't fucking hear it when I'm standing right next to them.

4. We went from 16+ people for a tournament to 9. If Saiyd and myself hadn't gone you would have to have run some shitty round robin. Sure, it's a given that we'll get small numbers, but we've got 20 people supporting the game in NYC alone, so why would I go to TGA to deal with that shit again?

For the love of the game that's why the should be reason enough to go everytime. If you noticed the people in the tourney helped out with the people walking by and by that people started to respect the fact that we were recording matches and started asking if they could go by. There are people like korean and I who expose the game during our tourneys that we run and try to gain interest from those people. Your right not everyone is going to like the game but that happens in everything and alot of people are just going to say there opinion but don't let it get to you unless they are doing something like walking in front of the camera and disrespecting you. If you don't want to listen to them why don't you just where headphones or something of that nature so you can block it out. I am saying things could be worse and we could of had just you and dippy playing friendlies on the tv like back in the day. Korean and I would have never known of this game if you two didn't expose it so it went from 2 guys to 20 to 9 so what IT COULD BE WORSE MAN.

Hope you get what I am saying because I didn't do to well in english class.  ;D
