Sorry it's not very good quality but this is just a quick post up job. Having a bit of trouble getting virtual dub to not drop the sound, so I can't split it yet. I'll clean up quality later and in smaller chunks, but in the mean time here's some quick footage.

Yeah it cuts off, I know, sorry fix it later.

those are the highlights of the preliminary matches before top 8. Theres some problems with some of the videos and they need to be re-encoded. So by later tonight, these videos will be replaced with the fixed version. and hopefully the 2nd part will be up too. But i'm just putting this up right not to satiate some people who wanna see the videos. Premiere Pro is hating me, or MPEG2 files, i might just go back to good ol Premiere 6.0... if anyone knows anything about mpeg files working with premire, it me up.

Bit of a late reply but props to the WC and Arizona crew you guys have a lot of love for the game and i had a good time. Thanks to Arlieth for housing me, shoutouts to Bell, Linalys, Zaido, Leo, Scott, Choco and his crew, Psylocke, and anyone else I may have forgotten, I had a great time and I think we both learned a lot from each other for the short time I was there. Hope to come out to another one of these soon.

Any of you guys ever want to come to the EC feel free to hit me up, I'll gladly house.

man, I dunno the details about that online stuff, but there's gonna be drama whereever you go. whether it's MeltyBread, SRK, or real life, you're bound to bump into people you can't stand. Don't worry, we'll make Leo come back. we'll get Choco to brag about his Satsuki so much that Leo needs to come back to shut him up! But then if Leo's rusty... then an Arizona victory is guaranteed... haha!

I'm highly curious as to how you guys recorded these matches. I heard from Alt that it was done with a laptop and splitting the RCA connection between the PS2 and the laptop.

Anyone wanna enlighten me as to what kind of setup you all were using? If it's as Alt stated, that's the exact kind of solution that I'm looking for myself.

yeah, just split the video. one goes to tv, the other to a camcorder. Camcorder doesn't have a DV tape inside, so its strictly a hardware encoder only. Pass-thru to the computer, use any recording software you wish.

for encoding- i used koepi's xvid encoder, avisynth and virtualdub.

post-processing & editing- photoshop 7 and adobe premire

How much did the splitter run you? I've done some searches for composite splitters and they look like they cost quite a bit.
