Zaelar and myself booked our flight yeterday, and I booked the room.
Seeing as our #1 priority at Evo World is to spread love for MB (I'm serious) I thought it was fitting that I give you folks first dib on our room. Here's some things to consider if you're interested:
1. I've booked from Thursday night of the 23rd of August to Monday morning on the 27th of August. Four night stay obviously. The room is $150 per night, but with tax that's around $180. Regardless of how long you're staying, you will be paying the same amount as everyone else. I can't afford it otherwise, sorry.
2. At the very least I'd like four people for the room, but the maximum amount of folks I'll take for the room is 8 all together (including Zaelar and myself). If it's 4 people it's $180 per person, if it's 8 it's $90 per person.
3. I'm a cranky, bitter old fart so absolutely no drinking or smoking is to be done in the room AT ALL, EVER. I'm not having anyone ruin my stay because they were plastered and decided to do something incredibly stupid. The room itself is non smoking, so that's out of the question. So if this ruins your plans, sorry. This also includes you coming back obviously intoxicated and barely able to stand, don't expect me to let you in the room. Sorry.
4. I MUST GET THE MONEY FIRST AND FOREMOST AS SOON AS YOU GET IN CONTACT WITH ME.
5. This room is primarily a doji fighting game oriented room. IE we play poor shit noone else will touch.
6. And lastly, don't ruin this for myself or anyone else by being a moron. We can play casuals until your eyes bleed, and laugh up a storm for no good reason, but keep the stupid away please.
If I get 8 people, the next two people to get a spot in the room get a bed, and the other four get the floor. YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY BE CERTAIN YOU ARE GOING TO EVOLUTION OTHERWISE I WILL IGNORE YOU.
That's it. Sorry if that's a bit much, but the room is going to cost me around $800 on its own so it's best to be safe then sorry.

Also they took out $167 yesterday, so it looks like I might only have to use that number instead, though I'm still not sure on tax, but I'll work that out in the next month.

GVR is available by shuttle from the airport.
At the worst, you'll end up paying $25 for a cab to get GVR.

I've been soooooo busy planning switching cars with my mom and getting this new house rented out that I haven't even been thinking about the hotel. Thanks for the reminder. I will try to get on to that shit in the next few days.

I should totally post saying how I'm definitely going to worlds and want to stay with you, even though I'm not allowed to go to any evos or any tourneys for that matter until I'm 18, which won't be for another year.

How much money per person are you looking at right now?

I think the total will be like 700-800, which will get split between however many people are there. So just round up and give me 1000 dollars and I'll take care of everything else.

Hey Chibs, I was trying to find a DEFINITE place to stay, and I was thinking of rooming with Vet but your room might be a bit more fun. (ie cheap) :o
I promise not to have a stomach flu this time, and I don't care about sleeping on the floor. <3 I can give you the money whenever you want, or I can just hand you the cash at Evo.

Just a heads up, but I'm still trying to figure out the exact cost of the room so I'm not stuck paying $100 out of pocket at the end. I estimated $720 originally but there's more taxes involved that I hadn't considered so I'll get back to you guys with a more concrete number. I'm going with $100 at the VERY LEAST as of now.

Tinshi is tentative, I believe everyone else is accounted for.
EDIT:
Ok, ballpark range is between $760 to $780. I'd imagine the WORST case scenario (whatever that is) is paying $800. More or less the amount of money I'd be needing from you guys is between $105 and $120, which is between 7 people (again, not counting Tinshi). With Tinshi it would reduce to around $92-$98.
As is I will not be taking anyone else into the room.
So let me know ASAP if you guys suddenly can't make it, ok?

fyi, if anyone if you guys can't do stay at the GVR, my group and HFblade's group are seperately staying at the Sunset Station Hotel Casino 4 miles north east of the GVR. That is if staying at the GVR is out of the question, you can still enjoy late night console sessions .

Ok. Looking at things now, and the keycards.. um.. I know for sure I will be out and about a lot because of both room restrictions/getting together with people I have been speaking to for 3 years but never met. So if for some reason I get locked out of the room and I wind up blowing up your cell phone I am not getting yelled at, yes?
Because I am sure you guys will sleep sometime, and I hang out normally with MvC2 players, whom as we know, never fucking go to sleep.
