I voted on the 5 on 5, but I don't really mind doing kumite as well.  Would be fun.

Another idea: $NJ$ KING$ vs USA
as an extra event or perhaps an alternative to a 5v5

team $NJ$ takes on all challengers in Japanese style single match elimination (3 round game?)
anyone can challenge but once they lose a match they're out
each $NJ$ king also has only one life: anyone who loses a match is eliminated
play until there are no more elligible challengers or $NJ$ is defeated

Prize structure, i'll think about it more but initial idea is:
each $NJ$ player puts down 10$ into the pot
every challenger puts down 5$ when he decides to play

If $NJ$ loses, the pot gets split evenly between the xxx (don't know how many $NJ$ teammates there will be) players who managed to eliminate a $NJ$ king
If there are no more challengers left $NJ$ gets the pot
If $NJ$ wins, NJ is officially better than America

If America is too scared, another victory structure would be:
every round won against a $NJ$ king is tallied up and 3 or 5 lost rounds will eliminate a king
if $NJ$ is beaten, the pot gets split between the people who won rounds against king$ in proportion to how many rounds
that way plebeians can earn money just by winning a round

And please, I hope that everyone feels challenged here.  The alternative victory structure I thought of so that all people would have enough hope to challenge.  I know that those with pride and samurai spirit will try their hands, but I want every plebeian to feel the fire and grasp for the golden throne.  $NJ$ vs USA is not a tournament; it is a war.  Though there are champions, the bulk of any army is plebeians.  With courage and a sharp spear any man or woman can achieve glory.  It is left to you to prove that we are but kings and not gods, that we can still be pierced and bleed like any man.  If we rise out of the carnage unscathed, then we will certainly be legends and perhaps some will know us as gods.  By strength or by fear we intend to stand and silence all those who would stand on our road to immortality.
