I don't really expect anyone to come out for this that's not already in the area, but if people want, we can run a Melty side tourney. I know there's a bunch of crossover between Skullgirls, guilty gear and the melty community so if people are already coming out, I'll run it (and show up to begin with).
I'm pleased to announce Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8 has been booked! Stay tuned for details, and we'll see you all Memorial Day Weekend 2012. (11 months notice?!)

Registration now open. Players must register online to be seeded by region and skill into the brackets. Players who wait longer to register will pay a higher venue fee. Players who choose to register at the door pay the most (please don't do this), so register as soon as you solidify your UFGT8 travel plans.

Prizes and Payouts -
Our payout structure will be similar to last year. Pot bonuses and depth of payout will scale up as more people enter an individual game. Roughly the top 10% of finishers will receive a payout.

Additionally, participants can earn seeding points for all six of EVO 2012's games at UFGT8.

I'm really on the fence about this. On the one hand Vampire is super cool. On the other hand this is the week after my tournament I'm running and I think I'm going to be pretty much exhausted. Secondly it's more of a drive than PowerUP and I'm not sure I could get people on board for driving out with me. Too bad :<

I'll be at UFGT mainly playing KOF13 but I will also be playing some side games like GG and MB to pass the time. So, I'll play Melty with people even if its just casuals.

In my case, out of state tournaments is the only way I can play people in person at all since I can't get the netplay to work...

I'm am already heading out there for Skullgirls and the mystery Tournament, but Melty Blood is like super fun. I would definitely play in a side tourney.

Edit: I guess with no one stepping up and talking to Beno about it I guess he's up for running it around 5PM on Saturday.

In game macros are allowed
winner must keep same character, but can change moon style if they choose. Loser can change characters + moon styles if they choose.

636-375-2202 is my number, text or call me anytime and we can play, I'll most likely have my PC and my 360 stick ready to go. Otherwise I'll just make it to that side tournament I guess. I'm not entering any main tournaments so I should always be ready for a game.
EDIT: I'm in room 161 if anybody wants to drop by (tournament is in 137). There's two of us here that may be interesting in playing, and we've got a setup.

Where's the tournament going to be held? By the looks of it, there will definitely not be room in the main area.
If the tournament doesn't go through I'm still game for casuals any time though.
