What: SitaCon is a Japanese Animation Convention
Where: Utica, NY @ SUNYIT (State University of New York)

October 10th-12th, exact time of tournament will be listed in your informational pamphlet received at the front doors and online in a few days. 
We are aiming for the 11th during the afternoon

Basic Information:

No Entrance Fee - Open only to Convention Attendees
Controllers Provided - No Keyboards or Pads. XBox 360 Controllers will be provided so don't bring your own stuff.

  Projectors/Screens will be used
  Three play stations
  Tournament registration open all day
  Free play one hour before tournament
  Short demonstration of controls and basic gameplay mechanics before tournament
  Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place - Various anime merchandise and XBox 360 controllers to be given away.
  No foul language
  No tweaking or messing with the hosting computers, this is a "play as is" event.
  Mostly casual players, so if a few of you expert players do show up, speak to me during registration (the guy running the tournament) and I'll tweak the brackets to compensate.

Rules:

Double Elimination - (Bys MAY be used a random to organize bracket)
Handicap - Off
Neko Arc Chaos - On
Three Point Match
Character Selection (Two Man Tethered) - Pick two characters during registration, you will be allowed to select between these two characters before the start of each match.
Maps - Random
Sides - Coin flip


Side Note: We'll also have Smash Brothers and other assorted tournaments run by the SUNYIT Gamer's Club games.sunyit.edu
Side Note 2: I personally will be running a Touhou - Phantasmagoria of Flower View tournament @ SitaCon using a movie projector aimed at the side of the building

If I didn't know before hand that the average age of the convention attendees would be 14~17, then I'd say swear up a storm. 
If we decide to do some Melty Blood freeplay afterwards then I'll lift the ban

SitaCon 08' is over. The Melty Blood Tournament went off without a hitch.
Had little over twenty participants, and about 60+ spectators.

Bawls decided to sponsor the tournament last minute so we got some cool stuff from them.

We gave away some Bawls promotional items (backpacks, drinks, posters), copy of MELTY BLOOD Act Cadenza Ver B we bought from PlayAsia, posters/mechanize from Broccoli Entertainment and Bandai, and a XBox 360 controller.
