So the majority of the people you're saying are selfish. Then what about the other minority? Aren't they being selfish as well? Either or no one can always have what they want. Me personally I really don't care about the same character rules at all. Some people want to follow tradition others don't.

The minority that isn't being selfish...is being selfish?  If you meant to say minority side of this vote, then yes, they can(and probably do) have selfish voters too.

This isn't true.  There's a very small possibility that someone could always have what they want.  This is getting off topic though...

A poll doesn't take into consideration who is being selfish and who isn't.  It also doesn't take into consideration who is better informed/in a better position to make a good choice.  Polls are just popularity contests for the most part.

Isn't it the point of a poll to see what the most popular choice is to see what the majority wants...

Clearly the majority doesn't want a same character tournament.
