Can we still be honorary region members? Like, even if I'm on EC right now, I've been in Norcal for 4 years! I should get special dispensation!

Lain: You have a point... but that has to be arranged with the norcal captain. You/Alt/Magz would be a pretty good team, though.

... Maybe too good. Hmmmmmmmmmm...  :3

Why have teams when the captain is just going to play every game?

Because there's a hidden agenda behind this tournament which probably isn't that hidden: to expand the U.S. Melty Blood scene.  One year is enough time for anyone to convert their friends to this game and get serious.  And since it's teams, you HAVE to find two other competent players.  And this tournament is gonna improve every existing scene.

----

I gotta say... your dedication to the MB scene is awesome, Arlieth.  I guess I'm saying this because what you're doing is like what The WiLL did for Naruto (GameCube).  He created the hype for GNT4 by running a forum for it and hosting monthly tournaments for it.  It reached a point where people actually travelled from California, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, everywhere... just to go to Florida for WillVolution.  The WiLL took a game that people loved to play and made it even more worthwhile to play it.  So moving away from The WiLL, I'm saying that what you're doing is making Melty Blood worth it.  All the time that everyone's invested in the game.. it's all for this.  We didn't waste our time practicing some animu fighter.  We did it for MELTY CUP.

Arizona took Teams at Evo.  We'll take Melty Cup. The power of UNITY AND BROTHERHOOD

Except theres nothing in the rules about using multiple players on a team.

Once that gets fixed I've got more if they don't get fixed along with it.

Suck it up bro, this shit is 100% SERIOUS now. You have an entire year to crackdown and turn yourself into a beast.

Evo doesn't want to take us seriously yet? Fuck it, we'll still be here.

If we get the same numbers as this year (45) people, that's $2,250, or $750 per person on your team.

GET FUCKING HYPE.

lawl stafoo.  it's obviously nearly impossible to say, beat out the current top players who would most certainly take 1st.  if there aren't any cash prizes after that, it's like, 50 people playing, but only 10 people who are really go nna stand a chance.

But the whole point of this tournament is to show who really is the best, and everyone should enter with the mind that they are the ones that are going to come out on top.

Plus its a year from now. Anything can happen in a year.

Then we'll just have to make him not qualify for NorCal team. And Lain should be NorCal, probably just for this lat tourney.
