The Battle Ground Game Arena
378 Kelly Road, Unit #3
Vernon, CT USA 06066

860-896-5288

When?

Saturday, March 6th, 2010. The venue opens at noon.

GG teams will start at 2:00 p.m.
SFIV teams will start at 4:00 p.m.
MB will start at 6:00 p.m.

GG and SFIV singles will start a bit after teams finish.

Games.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (PS2)
Street Fighter IV (PS3)
MELTY BLOOD Actress Again (PS2)

Money.

Venue fee - $5

GG singles - $10
GG 3v3 teams - $15/team ($5/teammate)

SFIV singles - $10
SFIV 2v2 teams - $10/team ($5/teammate)

MB singles - $5

Pot split.

Singles - 70/20/10 (or 70/30, if the turnout is low)
Teams - 70/20/10 (or 70/30, if the turnout is low)

Rules.

General:

-BYOC (bring your own controller)
-No pausing during match
-Rounds are set at 3
-Best 2 out of 3 matches
-Best 3 out of 5 matches for all finals
-Double elimination
-Time limit set to 99

GG 3v3 teams (PS2):

-No use of like characters (Ky, Ky, and Sol, etc.)
-After team member loses match, next team member plays
-No EX, gold, or shadow characters
-Kliff and Justice banned

SFIV 2v2 teams (PS3):

-Waseda style
-No use of like characters (Ryu and Ryu, etc.)

GG singles (PS2):

-See general rules
-No EX, gold, or shadow characters
-Kliff and Justice banned
-Button mapping allowed

SFIV singles (PS3):

-See general rules
-All characters allowed

MB singles (PS2):

-See general rules
-Original Balance settings will be used
-Archetype Earth is banned
-Button mapping allowed

Other notes.

There will be casuals!  The venue has several 360s, and there will likely be at least one 360 SFIV setup in addition to the ones on PS3.

I'm in there for sure.

Some new details (that Fraga will edit into the opening post): $15/team (instead of $10/team) for the GG 3v3, and PS3 as the official console for SFIV.  Also, GG teams will start at 2:00 p.m., SFIV will start at 4:00 p.m., and Melty Blood will start at 6:00 p.m., with the singles tournaments starting a bit after teams finish.

Which one should I goto?   :slowpoke:  CT would be more of a hassle, but no NY crew has said they'd goto Arcadia...

That's no small drive...post the pre-reg list.  I try to goto as many events as possible, and I could even bring a setup, but I really don't want to drive a couple hours hours for an 8 man tourney where the prize money couldn't cover the gas it would take to get there...one way...

I'm all up for fun and a fight with LPT, but still, my car's not in a great driving condition at the moment.  Can we have teams?  If so, I'll bring Kirah too.  That'll add two to your roster.  Would be nice to have atleast 16.

I think I could definitely do it if LPT wanted to give me and Kirah a place for the night :3  Driving 5+ hours in one day, no fun.

16-20? Not sure where those numbers are coming from dude. Melty turnout at Battlegrounds is usually around 10 or so people. Definitely not enough people to do teams, don't ya know.

A few names that are gonna be there are Fraga, Nuclear Cheese, Tales, myself, and some randoms.

You're welcome to come if you wanna get bodied, Komidol, but I certainly wouldn't drive to another state for this.  :V
