When's Melty on Steam?

Time: June 11-14th, 2010, Fri - Mon
Plan: MBAA Casuals/House Tourney
Reason: Because nobody but AZ will go to Devastation, but we can get more people at my place for Melty.
Venue: $5. Everytime people come, shit breaks, so I gotta do this.
We can't let EC run Evo. Let's get together and level up our game.
Also, we need to make sure Doren doesn't get top 16. Thanks.
Standard rules: Bring your own sleeping gear, toiletries, controller/stick, and so forth. You should know the drill by now. Be warned that I now have two (2) cats, so bring allergy meds if you need them.

I'm ok with this so long as it's not on the same weekend as Devastation. Flying back to AZ only to find myself back in SoCal again after a long car ride less than 2 days later is going to be overkill.

I would love to make this, but my schedule is so very tight...That weekend is my only free weekend from now till the Arcade UFO event at the end of July. Plus, going on a trip right after Devastation and right before Evo really hurts Vegas funds. Evo is in Vegas and since I'm in Vegas, may as well live it up a bit, amirite?
Depending on post-Devastation funding, this may or may not be doable for me. I think I represent 100% of the Melty population for Northern Arizona. Needless to say, practice for me kinda sucks.

I already know that Lv.0 will not be able to make this nor Devastation. Prinny and I, at the least, should be able make it. I think I'll hold off on going to Devastation just for this (to save some travel funds). Prinny will be going to Devastation for sure though, since he'll be competing in BBCS, but I don't think he'll want to pass up the opportunity for more melty play. I'll see if I can't get Oni to come along, but that's been iffy lately since his mom recently had a major back surgery and he's been taking care of her. Paine will probably come along if he gets the time off.

Actually, if it's that weekend, count me out. That's getting dangerously close to my planned vacation from work, which will include Evo, but will begin a little over a week before it, so I should probably refrain.
Unfortunately, that means that NorCal's participation is much more questionable now cause I'm our primary driver for these trips. I'll talk to people and see if anyone else will drive.

HF informed me tonight he's extending his stay in SoCal by a week, so this event can be run the same weekend as Devastation if it would accommodate NorCal.

Is there a firm date for this? I need to schedule a day off (probably Monday, maybe Friday too) and days off are evaporating faster than water out here.

That's what you get for being given two fucking weeks to figure out a date that was good for you guys and all you did was sit around and hold your dicks.

I'm just pissed that I have to work the Friday before AND the Monday after, due to their lack of lead-time.
I'm still going, but man am I going to look like warmed-over hell at work Monday. Or maybe I'll figure something out... worst-case scenario, I have a couple of sick days to give at this point.

Let me try to figure this out. I would leave from work Saturday afternoon and get in Saturday evening. I could stay all day Sunday and leave whenever Monday, but I don't know if that would be worth traveling for. How much of a difference is it than coming Friday night and leaving Sunday night? Depending on how late people from SoCal stay Sunday and other factors (like if Mizuki ends up coming down somehow, if I get stuck in the cave under bell's house, etc.).
For anyone from AZ that wanted to stay later, it would give them another option.
